Faith is a very unique and indispensable subject that every believer in Christ must operate in because of the peculiarity of the Christian life. We are called to a life of faith. Hebrews 11:1 says,

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen?

Normally, there is no substance in something you are hoping to receive because it is still futuristic, but in the Christian life, faith is the substance in our hope.
