I dont need anything from him on that day. I already have him for keeps, nothing is more important to me than this. We make sure we are happy with each other every day, be it vals or any other day. Why would vals be a sprecial day We do have our differences once in a while, but the simple rule is that we must reconcile before going to bed that day.

And then? Generally I don't cut-out for gifts and so it doesn't mean anything to me. Gifts on val's day is not a yardstick that someone loves you... Love is not determined by gifts, its just a misconception people have nowadays.

You are wrong... It has a very special purpose buh the problem lies in the mis-conception people are having about it nowadays. People have turned it to something else, especially the young people who barely know the paramount reason for celebrating it...

If you can have a special day for celebrating christmas, sallah and the likes, I see no reason why Val's day should be an exception (cause love is what binds every other things together).. It is not as if one is restricted to show love just on this day, but its an avenue or rather a window of opportunity to reach out to people you fail to reach out to on a regular day. And that is why, it shouldn't be restricted to one's immediate loved ones as that would defeat the fundamental purpose of celebrating it. Did you catch my drift?
