All hell almost broke loose yesterday at the federal university of technology Akure. When like 200 student storm the south gate entrance of the school at about 8:45pm protesting for the release of the detained student. Three students were detained earlier in the morning and hold in the police station as a part of the investigation being carried out by the school and the police due to the recent attacks being carried out by some group of student in the school calling themselves MEND FUTA and another group REVELATION FORCE. This attacks begin two weeks ago by first setting on fire the bus the SUG just bought on fire in the middle of the school at night and then burning of the ITF building and then followed by setting on fire some part of a building formerly used as the old library and called by FUTA student as the UDS hall, the most recent one is burning of the lecture theatre. The school management began their investigation maybe out of fear or lack of better judgement by pasting a 21 man list of some key student who had serve in one capacity or the other in SUG as suspected cultist to face cultism panel. They didn't stay only at this but yesterday they arrested three student popularly known as FREEDOM, BODE, ACHIEVER with no evidence just a frivolus accusation because they were friend with this REVOLUTION FORCE on facebook. So a protest erupt yesterday night lead by com. DE-REACTOR who said no one is going to sleep until those student were freed and allowed to sleep at their houses yesterday, the dean of student was force to bring them back yesterday nite at around 12am....what follow next is anyone's guess.
