just spoke with someone who was almost in the same boat As you, he assured me of no imbroglio whatsoever, buh just in case any blemish should sprout, you should supplement for linguistics department and whilst you go for screening you will be admitted no doubt but due to your lack of French in your o' level result, you will be referred back to History n intl relations, that was what he told me, but that will be just incase you don't admitted, because that's what happened to him, however he assured me of you not beating your head on the steel for no cause, that you will be alright.

I want to confirm something confusing.
Now, JAMB has asked us all to check out admission status on JAMBs portal next week. So basically when one logs in with his registration number, what is he expected to see there in order to confirm he has been admited into his course and institution of choice?

When you log in, you will see different links including Check admission status; click on it. If you have been offered admission, you will see an admission letter, otherwise the message, "sorry, no admission given yet!", will be displayed.

Wait isn't your admission status supposed to be uploaded after the school releases their first list?...next week isn't feasible.

Nah it's not always done that way..cus I cud remember last yr wen my frnd saw is name on the jamb website b4 his sch list came out months after

yes u wil see all those infos..buh u will not be able to change courses until the first list is out..then afta u can buy a change of course form.

there is a thread on education section where people give out their reg. Number for random guys to check it on Jamb portal.

They claim admission status for 2014 is on jamb portal and can be checked with android phones only.
Some submitted their reg number and got a reply of being admitted into their chosen course and uni, with their full names on display. The rest have 'no admission given yet'...

I was advised to remain patient as normally 'no admission given yet' means my school(uniuyo) has not uploaded theirs on Jamb portal.
