5. Atheists are less likely to succumb to the lure of authoritarian regimes, that promise miraculous and divine sent decrees. You think Hitler could have convinced a nation of Secularists/Atheists that slaughtering Jews was a good way to spend a Sunday? But far easier to do so when working with devotees of the anti-Semite Martin Luther.

However, number 8 is true no matter how one wants to argue it. Atheists have a better sense of morality and it is proven day in and day out on Nairaland.


On a philosophical level, atheists are left with only logic and reasoning to sort out their morality however christians/muslims generally abide by a set of religious instructions which many of them follow without questioning those set of rules.

This doesnt mean that there are no bad atheists who fail to use reason or that there are no good religious people.

We want someone to attribute things to like what we do not understand. Why stress yourself to know more about when you can say ''God is wonderful'' and go on?
We don't want to work harder to succed, we pray and wait upon God.
With the present economic situation in the country, many live on the hope that one day God will change their fortune.
In as much as atheism will solve some of the problems we have in this country, Atheism requires a high level of intellectual activity which Nigerian will not want to engage in (not because of inability to do so though). That is why I quite agree with Nos 4, 5, 7, 8 and 9.

actually, hell is just a place in children's tales. It doesnt have an actual existence and if it does exist, then hell will be the liveliest place to spend eternity, with strippers and musicians in it, am sure you will agree with that. Heaven will be so boring

No guilt associated with the sex act, so they tend to experiment more, and experimentation makes you better in bed, because then you get to know what you and your partner like, unlike the religious folks who feel that their God might not like it when they engage in some pleasurable activities during sex, like oral s.ex, a.nal s.ex, some sexual positions etc, so they might tend to be more boring in bed.

Also some religious folks feel that sex is just for procreation, so they feel guilty whenever they enjoy it and will be less likely to experiment.
