Tell me, when does emotions run highest? Copa del ray or Champions league? And when did Copa del Ray become so much important as compared to La-liga and CL?
It's not the Copa del Rey that's important. It's the Barca factor that made it so. If it were Madrid on the losing side, most peeps wouldn't have thought it a big deal. If Madrid beats Man Utd too, it wouldn't be a big deal. I think that's what he meant.

forget standard, is all about rivalry. most peeps want barca to lose, man u, chelsea and even few arsenal fans want barca to lose and of course u know y. despite man u wanting barca to lose, u barca fans will support them in the champions league against madrid. arsenal, chelsea will support madrid against man u. class or no class, fans want their bitter rivals to lose anyday anytime even if its a friendly match (madrid/barca friendly match? grin grin) and those who want barca to lose are more. barca have more enemies than madrid.

Remind me why he has to gain YOUR respect again lipsrsealed His Ballon d'Or awards speaks volumes already.

If he leaves Barca, people like you would call him an ingrate the same way you guys called Pep a coward for leaving. Same people that said Pep needs to prove himself in another club.

BTW Maradona won his first World cup medal at age 26.

Barca has more enemies cos of their higher standard and consistency. That's what births the rivalry. They are so good that people derive some sort of pleasure from seeing them flop occasionally. Madrid has not reached that level yet.

When people say "you see, Barca is not invincible", it is only because they had thought Barca was invincible and thus were kinda relieved to see that Barca can be beaten. We are that good! cool

The barca assistant coach was totaLly inept....he isn't fit to handle a team like barca.....I mean how can you play the same exact team that lost to milan against a very good madrid side........xavi,.cesc ,busquet and pedro were totally useless both in the milan match and also in todays match............why play players who aint in form when you've got the likes of song, macherano, andriano villa and tello on the bench .............why try to make the barca team totally populated with spanish players even when the spanish players aint delivering as they use to.....though a barca fan I easily predicted the outcome of this match even before it started just by looking at the barca line up(the same line up that could not get a shot on target against milan).........it is either tito comes back to bring back normalcy to the barca team or barca gets a new coach(if tito won't recover on time),because this assistant coach is just one big buffoon..........

also sanchez should leave,at least two Çentral defenders §hould be pu®chased and also a standing 9 should be bought.........teams have evolved to be able to play barca, barca too needs to be ready to adapt to the tactics of these teams in order not to be put to shame.......

does it mean barca is not paying their refs well or what? how can a team like man u loose like that at home? in fact, this game has made me to know that no team in this world can treat their refs well like man u.
na waa, one barca fan said god of soccer is not on their side and i believed him. when u have all the super stars in the world and u play good football and then add wayo to all that, why won't god of soccer depart u? it is called nemesis.
the ballon dór winner left his winger and was playing right back.

Re: Barcelona Vs Real Madrid- Copa Del Rey (1 - 3) On 26th February 2013 by Reference(m): 5:56am On Feb 27, 2013
So many soccer kids here. When you've watched football long enough two things happen. First, you quit being a FANatic and appreciate the game, the players and accord it respect. Secondly, you'd realise like in life nothing lasts for ever so you put things in perspective and learn not to lend your whole emotions to it.

Even so called Barca fans criticise Roura as if he has not been part of the institution that made the club what it is today.

They criticise the play as if they didn't know all these years Barca is a 'method' club.

They criticise the players, their positions, skill and commitment as if that package of ideals is ever enduring.

The fact is that nothing lasts for ever. I said it two seasons ago after Jose's first season that it is a matter of time before their rivals master their tactics. It is easier to replace than to upgrade. That's why Pep quit. Keeping the club ahead nearly killed him.

So I don't think it is fair to criticise the club, coach or players. Diminishing returns has set in. It is natural. The bar was simply set too high. In the future more modest results should be expected. In football there are no perpetual winners.

P.S. Barca played wide against Milan. Milan just defended wider. No tactic in football is sacrosanct. That's why it is the greatest game on earth. If one team kept on winning all the time will you still watch the stuff.
