Help me out. I am working for a client who does not know what he wants. Below is a snapshot of what I am making for him. Is it possible to do an architectural video without any reference..just (Do what is necessary)? Is it worth my time and effort?

@ladanski(m), Good morning Brother. Yes it is possible.

But it would help if the client has at least 1 or 3 renderings of the outer Structures (houses etc).
Also the client should have a picture of the enviroment outside where the estate will be(land,trees backdrop) to get a working composition.
The client should know what he wants, looks like a decent size project. The project will not be worth your effort if the client is not clear on what he wants.
Re: Blender3d : Topic On Nairaland (graphics/video) By Amhatu W. by Nobody: 9:05am On Mar 06, 2013
That's the problem. All he sent me was a scanned site layout with no blueprints, just thumbnails.I guess I'm expected to CREATE a mall, a school, a security office/centre, a fuel station, a gate..... at 20,000. I even modeled one of the houses only to be told he had changed his mind about the design. I might come back to it later on but for now, ....

@ jl junayd ,

Try out the ones you think will help most.
In the end it is your talent that counts,such as eye for camera(3d),pose to pose etc when working with 3d or potential other apps in Computer Graphics(CG).

@Amhatu I hope you use cycles render engine. It is best for interiors. I am creating a readable (not video) tutorial on text effect. Will upload as soon as I'm through.
Re: Blender3d : Topic On Nairaland (graphics/video) By Amhatu W. by Amhatu(m): 1:44pm On Mar 25, 2013
@ ladanski(m), I will use Blender Internel and OpenGL Shading Language (GLSL) .

I use cycles only to see quick results. For me personally, I find Blender internal/GLSL more advanced and usable on all computer platforms especially when working in a production pipeline.

@Amhatu; Its just personal preference especially when I am using alot of glass and reflective surfaces. But the internal render is much faster. Check out Andrew Price's channel on youtube. You will appreciate cycles a bit more smiley

@ladanski, Same things can be done with glsl/blender internal in blender 2.66. Cycles will not be suitable for my General workflow for this project.

On Blender User Andrew Price, this guy is one of the Best Blender3d users around. Came across his website ( blenderguru.com ) on Blenderartist.org while searching for blender shortcuts.

Hey Amhatu. Here is a video I did using blender's camera tracking feature. I need honest opinions.

@ladanski(m), Assalamu alaikum Brother !

I see some Artifacts at the bottom of the fire as if the fire or light is not very stable while camera is tracking.

In my opinion add a small rock to enhance the scene and make a better fire also increase the length of the shot(video) to about + 0.04 more seconds (10 seconds total video).

Thanks. I haven't even done the post-processing. I just tried this out to see if it would work. There is a very good tutorial by Andrew Price (Blenderguru). You can check it out.

@ladanski(m),

Plumíferos was the first Animation Movie (full Production) using open-source software including Blender3d that played in Cinemas with stats.

Sintel is a short (reel) showcasing Blender 3d capabilities. Its a job well done.

Manos Digitales Animation Studio in Argentina should be known about for the great effort and work. I applaud Manos Digitales Animation Studio in Argentina.
