u did not indicate whether this figure is for city or highway. If you obtained 14.4mpg within city, methink it is quite ok for a 12 year old A6 but if its on the highway, then something urgent has to be done with the car. 14,4 mpg for a 2001 Audi A6 2,8 Quattro making 193 hp is not normal, not even at 15-years old. Your consumption figures are worse than I got from my 2001 Audi S8, which was a 4,2 V8 making 360 hp. |

wwwkaycom: Could be any number of things - bad o2 sensors, MAF, coolant temperature sensor, leaking injectors, air leak in intake manifold, clogged air cleaner element, binding brakes, under-inflated tyres, over-sized tyres. I would check the items that can be checked manually, then perform a system scan for the rest. 1 Like |
