I WILL... I will sing now many a song of love Stirred by umbilical desire Then will I plunge into its mire For these shackles fettering us like a clove. ~ I'll swim in the pool of sharks, I will wander in the Evil Forest With runes where the i-ambi never rest Scour fiefs spoored in battle-marks Wade serpent-infested sea To prove my fealty for thee. ~ I will meet with dark Ninja of Hades, Grope through its horrid flames; steal a rapier, Sever doubts, tough as Lucifer's leather And guard our unison through the ages. ~ I will sing a song in a pristine tongue, Forgotten by the world Bring back its hidden cud; Conjure its long-lost-truths through a love song: ~ A song of cactuses in the desert, Of Jose' wiseness ere an Asian famine; Of Daniel decrypting quaint alphabet Carousing music in a Soul's tavern I will ask my soul to make merry To bang sèkèrè fast as a wasp I will slumber for a century And savour these dreams till my last gasp. 2 Likes |

Pain of love. Pain: as hurtful as a missed sneeze Sears off the forehead of my soul Thy ‘NO’ deadlier than tycoon’s breeze Why spite this love I ever throw? To your feet like thirty shekels Far precious than my unloved being Pains fade, not thy beloved jewels Chink in my heart like mojo-ring Thy tingling feel circuits my flesh Biting deep like a bee’s burrow My ego crushed in thy dire mesh Oh pained Pain paint not this sorrow. 1 Like |

Vengeance Is... ... Mind syncs Heart Body moves by instinct One hit, two... Countless impacts All because... I was moved By what I truly believed I will not hurt another Not even my enemy... Should my heart scream at me Miiiiiiiiiiiiiiiind it! Miiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiinnnnnnd it! Grit my teeth Clench my fist. Ground my heels Please.... ...Avenge me For you said... You will repay... Your words I hear every time: "Vengeance. Is. MINE!" 4 Likes 1 Share |

Made It by Tex It was only a dribble at first. A drop, maybe two, as the sky began to darken. The wind gently lifting the hair from my neck. Sweetly swirling around my senses. Only slightly wet. The pace quickens. My heart is pounding. The drops start coming faster. My body begins to tingle as the wind presses more firmly against me. Getting wetter. Faster and faster, yet I feel I'll never get there. Fear at first, uncertainty, but excitement too. The wind continues it's assault. The rain comes faster. Wetter. Time seems to stand still, as I run faster. Wind whirling wildly against me. Pressing more firmly. No mercy. The sky opens up, and I am soaked. Lightening flashes across the sky, thunder booms. I'm so close. I scream as I come crashing through the front door. Soaked to the skin. Panting, as I try to catch my breath. Home at last. 3 Likes |

Three days ago, there was this very unfortunate incident in the department of Computer Science, University of Ibadan. A young girl hawking around the precinct during a rainfall mistakenly stepped inside a water and was electrocuted immediately. It's so saddening that the school maintenance unit wasn't able to forestall something like this by neglecting to repair compromised wires. It's such a pity that we Nigerians take many things for granted. Why will you ask a young girl who came to spend holiday with you to hawk your wares for you? What stopped the school from fixing the wiring system until a young lass was fried? I dedicate this poem to her. ~ The Jabberwork, with eyes of flame Jaws that bite and claws that catch Beware the Jabberwock, my son!...' Alice in Wonderland AND THE LASS FRIED Showers of lesions Benign rains that twist tree roots Poles blazoning slacken wires Bowing, branches under a tyrant wind Lightning flashes chumed the spree Thunder-claps from the red sky aloft A dame sways her youthly waist by With an empty tray balanced on her head. ~ Scaldy cometh death's griddle A dame it saw A lamb to meat the gods Jabberwock spews its train of flame A soul to fry A soul to sole earth's belly Her bare feet glistened in the mud Twig for twig she waded through 'Science' Axis. ~ At the crossroad, the lass came Still weighing her sales, or her chance? 'gainst Lord Jabberwock Hungry flames in mouth Young she was but age halts not death A sprawling puddle tempts her young mind A foot to souse, A simple foot-wash in the dirt. ~ Plunged she then into an electrified puddle: A death pool Pulled her for Hitler and for ever Grilled her life in ions of death The 'Maintenance' rushed down but it was too late They claimed She was fried for the gods; not by The laxness For he who death must take, he'd indeed. 3 Likes |

IN MY HOME In my home I hear the awful news Shooting out of aggrieved lips Like a dozen of stray bullets piercing into our feeble hearts Clans sob with heavy breath Chanting canticles- manacles of death shackles him In the throes amidst of unbearable agony Myriads of pains serenade the air Blowing every mournful head My feeble heart splinters into little fragments Like the crumbs of broken clay pot Tears wander through the aisle of my cheeks When eyes witness you in cluttered garment In an icy form of numb frozen body My home That was once a mansion of smiles Is now filled with baskets of sorrow As you vanish like rose that vacates the bouquet To reside in a lonely vast of small mug 2 Likes |
