Times Change and So Do the Way We Do Things
In the past if you had a computer you used at work or home, you would more than likely purchase a backup drive so your files would be save in case your computer crash for some reason..

This way you would still have your files on your back up drive and everything would be fine. However, over time your backup drive would get fuller and fuller, and many of the files you're backing up you don't need anymore, but who has the time to find and delete them?
This was a great deal of fuss for some people, especially those who were determined to back up their files frequently. But things have now changed; now you can back up everything online. When you use the cloud back up system you get a peace of mind knowing that your most precious information is protected and accessible around the clock. Best of all the backed up files are a copy of your hard drive so when you delete a file you don't need anymore, you don't need to find it on your backup device to destroy it, it is done automatically for you.
What Else Can Cloud Do For Me?

A lot of people do not realize that cloud can offer them so much more than just online backup. The cloud also offers you protection and security, so no matter where you are or whatever device you are on whether it is a laptop, iPad or anything other device that has internet capabilities, you can be sure to have access to your files and data. This is great for anyone who uses a computer for work or pleasure.
But the advantages do not stop there, as they have made file restoration and retrieval so much easier. Remember when you had to open file by file? Today many cloud backup service provide automatic restoration, so you don't have to pick and choose, it's done for you.
What is the Price?
Cloud backup can range from free to $20/month. There are a few factors to consider. Upload speed, many of the free providers limit your upload speed to keep costs down, so it takes a long time for the initial backup.
Store quota, which basically means how much total data you can backup. Many free services give you 5 GB free, but if you need more you can upgrade to a premium service.
Seed load, this is when the cloud company sends you a hard drive for your initial backup, you place your files on it and send it back. For corporate clients this saves a lot of money as internet bandwidth is very expensive when it comes to large amounts of data. You won't find seed loads with free services, but some of the premium cloud providers offer this feature.
There are many cloud service providers out there. The right provider depends largely on what type of service you require. If you need online storage you may look at something like Dropbox, SugarSync, Google Drive or Skydrive. If you're looking for business oriented service you may look into a service provider that delivers multiple cloud services like NIRIX
