Japan has world's largest indoor beach, Ocean Dome about 1,200 miles south of Tokyo in Miyazaki, on Japan’s southern most Kyushu Island.300 meters in length and 100 meters in width, with a height of 38 meters, it can accommodate 10,000 people at a time.

The beach sits inside a vast dome that measures 300 x 100 meters (984 feet x 328 feet). The heated ocean sends 13,500 tons of salt-free water sweeping across 600 tons of polished marble chips that comprise a long shoreline.

Designed by the Mitsubishi Heavy Industrial Group and opened in July 1993 at a cost of 200 billion yen ($2 billion), the pool has yet to turn over profits, despite catering to daily throngs of tourists.

This is what you do with Money in your own! Not going to Invest it in Dubai or other people's countries... and leave everything there when you die. Naija Politicians take note!

Just 300 meter long and 100 meter wide ? This is a waste of money to an investor who wants to be a god.

There is nothing like a natural ocean with the salty water and power wave for surfing.

God would have been a rich man if he were to charge man for using his ocean.

Fake beach angry
Why should I go to a counterfeit beach when the authentic is cheaper and better

The idea of going to a beach is to appreciate nature and d Creator.

MAYB am nt a gud investor
MAYB i dnt knw much about turnover ish
BUT i think taking over 20yrs (since '93) for a $2b or any investment to yield profit is not a gud one...besides it hasn't gain enouf publicity(MAYB profit too) lyk burj al arab which was built after it.

Cogent:

This is very sad indeed.

The real truth is that people still prefer the ocean than this swimming pool.if its worth the hype, why are they not declaring profits since the last 20 years of its creation ?
