those LASTMA thieves believe they have the right to treat anything about vehicles.
Pack a vehicle, lastma says you didn't park well. Bring 20,000.

Load goods, lastma says you loaded too much or too small. bring 20,000.

Carry passengers, lastma says you have too many or too little.. Bring 20,000.

Carry a girl in front of a car, lastma says she is not your wife, bring 20,000.

Go to Lastma office, you see all the Agberos wearing yellow shirts with brown teeth all over the place discussing the party they attended the previous evening with 20,000.

We are creating these monsters by ourselves and we point fingers at GEJ all the time.

@pattybf how can you get it? Secondly the way I see it, it's going to be a fake. Because I have heard of the process of getting a drivers license and how stressful it is to get one.

yes its stressful but I help to reduce it.i get ur form filled and collect ur money today, I go ahead to process all ur documents, make payment at d bank, all these on first day, 70% of the job is done. The second day u show up for concluding part, vio test, capture, (driving test for freshers).

rule out d fake part of it cos I don't encourage anyone to go for fake. Besides u will see everything done live at office. Thanks

@ YAK: IT DEPENDS ON UR LOCATION. IF U R IN LAGOS U CAN BE SURE OF GETTING UR TEMPORARY DRIVER'S LICENSE WITHIN 24HRS AND DEN, UR PERMANENT DRIVER'S LICENSE WITHIN 30 DAYS FROM D DAY U'RE GIVEN UR TEMPORARY.

PROCESS : U COME 2 D OFFICE, FILL IN UR DATA ON A FORM, UR FORM IS DOWNLOADED INTO D SYSTEM BY D FRSC .
MAKE PAYMENT AT D BANK USING PAY ARENA.
PROCEED 4 CONFIRMATION BY D MVAA,

DEN 2 D VIO 4 TEXTING ON UR ABILITY OF DRIVING AND USE OF ROAD SIGNS. AFTER U HAVE PASSED D TEXT,

U DEN PROCEED 4 UR BIOMETRIC CAPTURING BY D FRSC.

BUT WE UNDERSTAND THAT AN AVERAGE NIGERIAN DO NOT HAVE TIME AS USUAL .

SO WE HELP IN PROCESSING UR DOCUMENTS BUT U MUST PRESENT UR SELF FOR BIOMETRIC CAPTURING.

The gist about VIO/FRSC/LASTMA harassing people about driver's licence has gone virile. Different stories have emanated about people being fined =N=20,000 for having a 'fake' licence. First of all, did these people print the licence in their houses or offices? Leaving this as a rhetorical question, i decided to search for information online. Below is what i found:

(For applications submitted in manual forms)
The license holder will obtain an application form from the VIO/BIR representative at the licencing office. The applicant will complete the form and submit it to one of the FRSC officers who will capture the information on the form into the Drivers’ License application. The Applicant will then need to make payment for the application at a bank using an application id number which will be issued by the FRSC officer. Once payment has been made, the applicant will take the acknowledgement slip to the BIR officer in the licencing office for registration. The applicant will then proceed to the VIO officer in the licencing office for screening and approval. After this, an FRSC officer at the licencing office will capture the applicant’s biometric information and issue a temporary drivers’ license which will be valid for 60 days. The driver’s licence will be available for collection within the 60 day period.

(For applications submitted electronically)
The Applicant will access and complete the online application form. The Applicant will then need to make payment for the application either at a bank or online. Once payment has been made, the applicant will take the acknowledgement slip to the BIR representative in the licencing office for registration. The applicant will then proceed to the VIO officer within the licencing office for screening and approval. After this, an FRSC officer at the Information Processing Center will capture the applicant’s biometric information and issue a temporary drivers’ license which will be valid for 60 days. The driver’s licence will be available for collection within the 60 day period.

Now, great people of Nairaland, can anyone who has had the opportunity to get a purported original driver's licence done in the last 6months please educate me(us) because the referenced site seems to be talking about a crazy process that seems to make close to no sense to me.

Thank you in anticipation of a worthwhile discussion.

Contact KSSM in Abuja. Here's a way they can help existing drivers (who don't think they need to go to driving school) and new [b]acquire their licenses in 12 working days:

5 days of Theory lessons > Theory Test > Pass > 5 days of Practical lessons > Practical Test > Pass > Certification of Completion & Full Driving License

If you fail the theory test after 5 days, you'll need to continue till you have reached the full period allocated for training, then you'd have another test. You can only progress to practical once you have passed theory.

If you fail the practical test, after 5 days, you'll need to continue till you have reached the full period allocated for training, then you'd have another test. You must pass both practical and theory to gain your full drivers license.

And the best part of this school is, if you plan to drive in the UK, you'll comfortable pass the UK Theory test, and you won't need to learn much more to pass the UK practical tests*

*This is subject to you undertaking the full time periods of the training.

They have some discounts going on now, so it great value for your money!

Congratulations to all those that maximized the opportunity that was given last week as a result of the Easter bonus to process their fresh driver's license. Especially to those that has come for there biometric capturing. For those that hasn't come there biometric capturing, you can still come between now and next week.

For those that either saw the information but did not respond or did not see it at all, the process for obtaining a fresh driver's license has gone back to its usual format.

You have to be enrolled into one of d accredited driving schs for 26days training after which every other thing can be done within 24hrs.

For those that can drive, we can help with the driving sch process.

For more information, call or watspp me through my contact on my signature.

Fresh Driver's license can now be gotten with 20k and this includes the driving sch fee but the 26days still applies. Note that this service is exclusively for those in Lagos as your presence will be needed at the point of your biometric capturing.

Renewal of your expired driver's license remains the same as it can be done within 24hrs.
