Match fixing in England, who do you think will be on top of it this is true, considering what is happening with some clubs in recent games.

I wont really say there is match fixing in the premiership though that was how it looked in the serial A before we were shocked with the involvement of the so-called big teams.

So if there is anything like that, teams like Manchester united should be looked at.

Match fixing could be anywhere, provided it's football that's is being played.
If not for the revelation nobody couold have believed AC Milan were invelove in match-fixing

Not a chance!!! , if there was any match fixing the ever curious British press would have probably found out by now.

Match Fixing. . . .Who knows lipsrsealed. Look at the allegations leveled former Bolton Manager Sam Alladyce about bungs in some transfers involving players, agents and some managers. The story broke out through a whistle blower. Match fixing is a more serious issue but you can never say never. This may be true for clubs avoiding relegation.

Don't ALWAYS believe what you read in the papers. The media will only report and portray items they want you to know about. Slightly off topic, recently, Prince Harry went to Afghanistan and the media were aware but never mentioned it due to "security" issues. The story was broken by Australian and American websites, forcing the British media and MOD to confirm the story which eventually led to withdrawing Prince Harry from the frontline. The only presenter that opposed the media "collusion" was Jon Snow. All I am saying is the media is not aways "honest".

@ IMANI
if there was any report of match-fixing in Britain, be it confirmed or unconfirmed reports, them tabloids would have definitely carried the story on their front pages to sell papers, the British press will print anything from Alex Ferguson gambling on a horse that was indicted in a match fixing scandal to David beckham and ferguson having a dressing room bust-up.

But once it comes to the royal family they are a tad bit reluctant to release any incriminating news reports.

why do u think so highly of these people they are human like any other people.match fixing is possible anywhere
and i will not be surprise if one day it is uncovered.
It happend in Italy and Germany why not in England.
You see the way referee make silly errors these days.
50/50 decision goes to club like manu, Chelsea
torres was fouled yet he got the yellow card
Essien was booked twice and did not see red(liverpool-Chelsea at anfield)
the same ref gave Chelsea controversial penalty.
the list is endless.
use your head.

Lyn Oslo forged Mikel's signature and this is linked to man u again,
oyinbo too dey do oluwole

I didn't say the Bristish are not capable of match-fixing what i said was that if there was any hint of any such activities, it would have been in the papers by now.

English refs are generally poor, thats why they dont call many of them to ref any important matches outside England checkout Graham Poll in the world cup, or was he match-fixing then as well?
Re: Could There Be Match Fixing In The Premiership? by mavtrevor(m): 7:10pm On Mar 30, 2008
If there are no thing like match fixing in England, why do some teams especially towards the end of the season when they are sure lossing a match will not affect them field a weak team against oppositions they are trying to favour, there was an allegation last year that Sheff Utd will field a weakened team against Wigan on the last day of the season just to spite West Ham Utd. see this http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/606/A22355435
Re: Could There Be Match Fixing In The Premiership? by kliverpool(m): 7:24pm On Mar 30, 2008

Well if there's no match fixing, then explain why Mascherano (Liverpool) decides to keep his mouth rambling and tackling everything (ball exclusive) in the most important of games for Man Utd. Knowing fully well that even if Liverpool beat Man Utd they still would not come within the top 3. So he decides to do what he did and then Liverpool plays 1 man down and loose to Man Utd and Man Utd is king of England once again. Makes me wonder if Man Utd would return the favour next season.

"Question" - Shouldn't he have known better?
"Answer" - Match fixing.
Re: Could There Be Match Fixing In The Premiership? by mavtrevor(m): 1:07pm On Apr 01, 2008
It beats me bro why a professional footballer like Mascherano wont know that talking to a ref is an offense. With 6 matches to watch out for Man utd and how they are going to win the remaining matches.
Re: Could There Be Match Fixing In The Premiership? by ManJaf: 4:06pm On Apr 02, 2008
One cannot rule out match-fixing anywhere in the world. The difference is only in the methodology and finesse employed in various countires. Beginning with season's fixtures (which can be favourable for some clubs and not for others) up to paying players in other clubs to injure key players of strong oppositions/competitors for the title. Anything is possible guys.
Re: Could There Be Match Fixing In The Premiership? by mavtrevor(m): 2:55pm On Apr 04, 2008
With all said http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Match_fixing does it mean matches could not be fixed?
Re: Could There Be Match Fixing In The Premiership? by mavtrevor(m): 1:31pm On Apr 09, 2008
If there are no thing like match fixing, did you see the penalty awarded to Liverpool yesterday? Even thoughit is a champions league, it was a match btw 2 english teams, there is no much difference with it and a champions league.

What can you say about the penalty?
Re: Could There Be Match Fixing In The Premiership? by handsombob(m): 3:26pm On Apr 10, 2008
march fixing in england has becom a big problem we are having in england. which i feel should be stop.and they should tell MANUNITED to back out from that act.
Re: Could There Be Match Fixing In The Premiership? by mavtrevor(m): 5:57pm On Apr 10, 2008
Are you saying Man utd is on top of match fixing in England?
Re: Could There Be Match Fixing In The Premiership? by mavtrevor(m): 4:32pm On Apr 16, 2008
If really our allegations about match fixing in England is true, then guys get ready cos we will be seeing more of match fixing in this last few games we have at hand.

Teams down in the relegation zone and those seekigna title will probably fix themselves, but the question is what could be the mode of fixing this matches? is it the referees officiating? Players involvements?

Lets watch the remaining games with open eye to see who makes sheady deals to win.

If you are given the power to investigate, who do you think will be in such act in England minding the events of the season?
