Achebe, one of the best fiction writers in recent memory, died in his USA base, according to information just reaching News Express.

He was 82, having been born on November 16, 1930, and had been in hospital in recent days

Chinua Achebe, one of the world’s most celebrated writers and author of the classic novel Things Fall Apart, is dead.

SaharaReporters learned that Achebe, who was the David and Mariana Fisher Professor of Literature at Brown University, died last night in a hospital in Boston, Massachusetts. Professor Achebe had been sick for some time.

His life would still be celebrated, he is an icon, he lived for something, he made a mark, if all youths would live like him , making marks in their respective field of work, then we would not be a developing country. Things have not fallen apart, as a mater of fact , things have never been so aligned.
