For God so Loved the World,
That He gave HIS One and Only beloved and begotten son,
JESUS CHRIST....
that whosoever believes in Him will never die but have an Everlasting and Ever joyful Life.
This Jesus Christ is God who descended to earth in the disguise of Man to deliver man from the problem caused by man,
He came down to stop the devil from having total control on man. So he collected the DSTV remote from him that we can enjoy our cable TV channels to the fullest.
But alas!
These same men that He made and still saved from the wrath of God Almighty,
I mean WE humans, we hated Him, beefed Him, mocked Him, Publicly Disgraced Him, Humiliated Him....
Then we gave him what was worse than a firing squad,
we nailed Him to a wood, we called it the cross.
We made Him groan and moan, we made Him shed tears, we made Him bleed.
We were happy, we beat Him with whips, even after making Him carry the cross.
After He died, we felt His impact, we wished He could come back and we blamed ourselves.
1pt 2 ; 21 - 22 says; "for to this you were called, because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example that you should follow his steps, who committed no sin nor was deceit found in Him."
After dealing with him in a cruel manner for a reason most of the humans alive at that time couldn't explain, He prayed for us, asking God to pardon our ignorance. Let me quickly say this; I think out of all GOD's creations, humans are the most cruel and terrible.
Lions for example, kill because they are hungry and they have to eat while we humans kill for sport.
Jesus defeated death and the devil when He died for our sins and rose again and that was why He said; IT IS ACCOMPLISHED (FINISHED).
Was the mission truly accomplished? Are we not still crucifying Christ over and over again in our hearts with the terrible things we do?
Are we not still in the bondage of the devil and sin? Are we not even going to the devil willingly by ourselves to sell our souls to Him? Are we not jeopardizing the efforts of this merciful Lord?
I don't think that with the sufferings and humiliation that Christ went through from the hands of humans, He will have pity on those who will still choose to go to HELL on the last day.
Let's use this medium to have a sober reflection on our lives in comparison with the GREATEST SACRIFICE ever made.
The Bible says that there is no love greater than this, that a man should lay down his life for his friend...
The devil has never wanted HIS mission to be accomplished, the only instruments he could use is we humans, and he is gradually succeeding. We need to remember that the devil has being a loser and a master deceiver right from time immemorial. We need to encourage CHRIST JESUS by abiding by the last two commandments which was stated vividly in the book of I John 3 : 23 " and this is His commandment, that we should believe on the name of HIS son JESUS CHRIST, and LOVE one another, as he gave us commandment."
Let us BELIEVE in Him, let us believe in His awesomeness and totality, let us believe in His resurrection and Life, let us Love Him and our fellow humans by telling them about Him and His Love.
Let us give our lives to Christ Jesus, now that it is much easier.
