Team news
Already suspended for Wednesday's visit of PSG, Mascherano has been ruled out until May with torn knee ligaments. Messi (hamstring), Pedro (calf) and Adriano (hamstring) all missed the Mallorca game on Saturday, when Éric Abidal made his first appearance since a liver transplant on 10 April 2012. Puyol (knee) remains sidelined.

PSG
Carlo Ancelotti, coach
We have a better chance if Messi doesn't play, but it won't change our strategy. We have to have confidence to play against one of the best teams in the world. We need confidence and character. We can't think about our mistakes but about what we did well in the first leg.

I'm not worried. PSG are happy to be here because it'll be a fantastic night. Everyone knows we have a small chance of making it, but we do have a chance. We have proved we can play well against a fantastic team.

I have to say we will use all our quality – attack, defend, be solid, be strong and make the most of everything we have. Nothing will change at PSG even if we don't make it to the semi-finals; the future is fantastic whether we win or lose. If we don't win it this season, we will try to do it next. It's important for us to have our fans here to see the match. They are here to help us and that's very positive. We will make an effort for everyone at PSG.

Team news
The biggest question mark hangs over Thiago Motta, the most natural replacement for the banned Blaise Matuidi but a midfielder who has been limited to one game since January because of a groin injury. Ancelotti will decide on his availability on matchday, while Alex (hamstring) and Thiago Silva (knee) sat out Saturday's fixture and face fitness tests. Alex has trained with the rest of the squad this week, with Thiago Silva working on his own.

Match fact
Four-time European champions Barcelona are targeting a sixth straight semi-final appearance. They are undefeated in 20 UEFA Champions League home matches – winning 16 – since a 2-1 reverse against FC Rubin Kazan on 20 October 2009.

PARIS (AFP) – Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho said he will be cheering on French league leaders Paris Saint-Germain in their Champions League quarter-final, second leg, against Barcelona today, Wednesday.
PSG face a tough task at the Camp Nou as they lookto qualify for the semi-finals having drawn 2-2 at home in thefirst leg.
But they have some star-studded support in the form of Barca’s publicenemy number one.
“I have friends in Paris, Idon’t have any friends in Barcelona,” Mourinho told BeInSport in French when asked who he’d liketo see progressing.
Mourinho’s Real side hadjust secured their place in the last four despite a 3-2 defeat at Galatasaray, progressing thanks to their 3-0 success at the Santiago Bernabeu a week ago.

Lionel Messi came through a training session on Monday unharmed but remains a doubt for Barcelona's Champions League quarter-final second leg against Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday.
Messi picked up a hamstring strain in the 2-2 draw in Paris last week and was withdrawn at half-time, having given Barcelona the lead just before the break. He missed the 5-0 win over Real Mallorca in La Liga on Saturday and was replaced in the false striker role by Cesc Fábregas, who scored a hat-trick. The former Arsenal captain looks the most likely replacement for Messi if the Argentinian fails to recover to face PSG.
"I feel very comfortable playing as a false striker, but that position is filled by the best player in the world," Fábregas said. "I am still a midfielder."
Tito Vilanova's other concern lies at centre-back, with Javier Mascherano struggling with knee trouble. "It's a pity about the injuries, both Mascherano and Leo," the midfielder Xavi Hernández said. "We'll see how Leo is, but it looks like Mascherano is out for a month or a month and a half."
Meanwhile the PSG manager, Carlo Ancelotti, confirmed David Beckhamwill start the second leg after a "really good match" last week, while the centre-back pairing Thiago Silva and Alex look to have overcome injury concerns. "I feel fine. I'm ready to play. I have no problem," Silva said. "I finished the first leg with a little problem with my knee but I have rested it."

• Zlatan Ibrahimović's eighth goal in as many outings for PSG sealed the Ligue 1 leaders' first win in 11 trips to Rennes. Jérémy Ménez's opener, when he skipped around three challenges before finishing emphatically, was his first strike in ten matches for club and country.

As an analyst, i will predict barca to go through with or without messi tonight considering many factors.
1. Barca have a very impressive home record in the champions league. Since the time of rikaard till date, only three teams have scored barca 2goals. Rubin, chelsea and liverpool
2. since 2009 till date, they have only lost to rubin at camp nou
3. Only chelsea have scored 2 against barca at camp nou more than once
4. Psg have not gotten to the semi finals for more than 2 decades now
Although records are not always relied on but they are points of one knowing where to steak his money on. So the odds, is 8 to 2.

PSG have never lost to Spanish club in two legged matches and they will be playing in Catalonia with high head after drawing the first leg in 90min at home. David Beckham, Thiago Silva and Zlatan have good experience playing at nou camp as playing different clubs.
The biggest news for the match is Lionel Messi isn’t fit yet and he might miss the chance. Barca is also without their inspiring captain leader Carlos Puyol and it have been a serious headache for Vilanova thinking who to deploy in the heart of defense.
Barcelona will be playing with a 2 away goals advantage and they have not lost any European fixture in camp nou after they lost to Rubin Kazan in 2009.
For PSG Captain Silva will be featured back in the team after missing last league match due to knee injury. Last minute equalizer scorer of the first leg Matuidi will be serving a suspension afterreceiving yellows in last twomatches.
Probable XI
Barcelona: Valdes; Alves, Song, Pique, Alaba; Xavi, Sergio, Andreas; Pedro, Cesc, Villa
Formation: 4-3-3
PSG: Sirigu; Jallet, Alex, Silva, Maxwell; Moura, Beckham, Chantome, Pastore;Zlatan, Lavezzi
Formation: 4-4-2
