EFCC Arrests Ifeanyi Ubah Over Fuel Subsidy Scam

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested the managing director of Capital Oil and Gas Industries Limited, Mr Ifeanyi Ubah.

Sources at the agency told Saharareporters that Mr. Ubah was arrested by a team of operatives at his Maitama home in Abuja.

A detective at the agency revealed that Mr. Ubah had ignored earlier invitations to the EFCC to voluntarily submit to interrogations regarding his role in the multi-billion dollar oil subsidy scam. Ubah is currently undergoing interrogation at the Abuja offices of the EFCC.

So far the EFCC has arraigned some 40 persons in connection with the scam.

Mr Uba,welcome to the murky waters of Nigerian politics.Uba showed his hands too early thereby making himself an easy target.But hate him or love him,he has really brought some life and excitement into the gubernatorial contest in Anambra state.That's the beauty of democracy;though he seems to have overdone the money sharing aspect.

But I wonder why Nigerians don't honour invitations by security agencies. Do we pass judgement on ourselves that we are guilty of the accussation(s) levelled against us or does it mean that they don't have the right or power to invite us.
Why do we always prefer to be humiliated in the name of arrest?
