Flour quality can be divided into three types in China, flour produced by different flour milling machine has different quality grade. Below we have a detailed introduction of how to identify the flour quality.

1. Smell

● Good quality flour--- no peculiar smell
● Low quality flour--- It smells a little bad.
● Bad quality flour--- It is bad odor, acidity, kerosene and other peculiar smell.

2. Color

● Good quality flour--- white or light yellow color, pure color.
● Low quality flour--- color and lustre of flour is dim.
● Bad quality flour--- It’s grey or dark yellow color.

3. Texture

● Good quality flour--- It’s fine powder and contains no impurities, smooth to the touch, no bugs and agglomeration.
● Low quality flour--- It has coarse grain to the touch, with insect or impurities.
● Bad quality flour--- It’s high moisture content, mildew and agglomerate.
