Hi, did you password the system? If you did password it, he would only see windows file but if not, he might have formatted it to be able to recover the files. Cheers

Hello Debo, Many thanks for ur swift n helpful response. I did password my system before it crashed. He never asked for the password while he worked on it. if i got u right, are u suggesting that he likely formatted d crashed hard disk after which he recovered the operating system(unix os) files? you are gradually giving me a clear understanding of the scene to help me make a good Judgment. Really appreciate brother

you dont need a password to access a external harddrive,he didnt find the files because hes using a software data recovery tool to access the drive, the files you are looking for is in a raw format, only a hardware tool can translate this raw file to a data the computer can access.if he found the os on the drive ,am sure your data is on that drive. contact: Sarm DR DOCTOR at funnysamuel@gmail.com or 07054632174. he would shed more light on the issue as he is a professional in Data recovery.
