Buffett sent out his first tweet from @warrenbuffett while being interviewed by Fortune's Pattie Sellers at the University of Nebraska Omaha: "@WarrenBuffet: Warren is in the house."  When asked if he understood Twitter, he said "so-so," but noted that "the co-founder [Ev Williams] came from Nebraska so it can't be all bad." After he posted the first tweet, Buffett joked, "Who says you can't teach an old dog new tricks?" Often referred to as the "Oracle of Omaha," Buffett made a fortune through his savvy investments at Berkshire Hathaway. However, as the Wall Street Journal points out, he doesn't have such a good track record with technology. He once said that he once said that he didn't know how to check his voicemail. There are dozens of fake Warren Buffett accounts on Twitter, some of which have pretty sizable followings: @W_Buffett has more than 100,000 followers and @BuffettInvestor has nearly 35,000 followers. If there's any well-known businessman who should be on Twitter, it's probably Buffett. Aside from being incredibly influential, he also has had some great, concise quotes over the years, including this classic that would have been great as a tweet: "Rule No.1: Never lose money. I should follow him to be a billionaire yea?? Twitter to me is still some over-hyped Americanism. Apart from the news tweet i receive from Major new channels. What has twitter really succeeded in fostering among our youths? Don't tell me those tweets about #kenyans, #ogaatthetop #Ghana has added to our lives in any way. Love Warren Buffet though..
