Now you all men need to sit and let women lead. Less than a year after she assumed office as the first female president of the Actors Guild of Nigeria,AGN, Ibinabo Fiberesima has proved that she is a woman with a mission to rewrite the story of the guild in a way no man has done.

During the week, the mixed-race actress shocked members of the guild when she presented the key to an 18-setter brand new Toyota Hi-ace bus to the chairman of the guild’s Board of Trustee, Mr Ifeanyi Dike, at its Secretariat at Ajao road, Surulere. The bus was said to have been donated to the guild by a top government official and a lover of the industry.

Her administration has commenced Health Management Scheme as well as Insurance screening for actors and actress which she promised them upon her assumption of office last year.

She also launched the AGN film initiative, calling on the six geo-political zones to submit scripts that would be funded by the National executive of the guild. The film, she explained will feature members from the state chapters within the respective zone.
