I jus confirmed from a staff now cos I was a staff before I left for a better place.Gtbank sacked 120 staff and dey are marketers dat score below c.

Bank jobs are not dependable, anything can happen working with any bank this days, is always better to have little investment somewhere to hold-on to when this type of issues arises. God will help us.

That's not new in Nigeria of today,just this last month Access Bank sacked almost 200 contract staff.We just have to pray that God should deliver us from all this our leaders and provide us with good and God fearing leaders that will give us good employment opportunities.

Whaooo, losing a job is more difficult than haven't gotten 1 yet, because d fellow must hav started moving on lik buying a car, apartment, GF. Stopping d income and seating @ home for d 1st month will be like Hell on earth, Sorry to d affected people

It is not only banks that sack , even manufacturing companies do too. 2 weeks ago, one of the leading cement manufacturer in the country which doubles as my place of work sacked 87 staff members out of about 600 , all in the name of right sizing. It is was so pathetic that even some victims had only spent 1year on the job. The lesson therein is no job security in the private sector, anybody can be let go anytime with any moral dillemma from the employer. So forget job security and consolidate fast while u re still on a paid job, and move on if u re asked to.

Either GTB lied abt their turnover! How cd they lay off when they made a whooping 103 billion. Ok maybe they are preparng for the flat rate charge order by CBN. We are waiting.

have woke up one day to realise that they wont be
going to work anymore. as far as Nigeria is concerned no white collar job is secured. take it or leave it in any work you do always get some kind of skilled work ability in case the white job stops you will still have something to be doing. do not waste any more you get while working. buy properties and do some good investments
should anything happen you wont be forced to head down to the village.
Moreover,The job security is never there. Start your every own company today! The earlier you start, the better for you. A word is enough for the wise. My sympathy to the sacked workers. God provided he has also taken and wil provide a better one for you guys. take heart.

Last 3 weeks it was STANBIC IBTC, then ACCESS BANK, And now GTB, nawaoooooooooo sacking sacking sacking, banking job is turning to something else in Naija
