He singlehandedly won the spanish la liga for barcelona with an astonishing 46 goals and 12 assists. He led Barcelona to the semi final of champions league. His injury being the cause for their humiliating defeat to the eventual winner.

Arjen Roben however was just like a part player. Without him, Bayern Munich would still have won the league and champions league. If you think he is eligible to win the Ballond'or, then Drogba was equally eligible to win it last season.

And David Becham, Andy Cole or solsjier should have won it in 1999. Then Gabriel Milito, Sneider or samuel Etoo should have equally won it in 2010.

in 2010 Messi only won la liga and last year he won the spanish cup only and was given the award.This season he has won the league.I am not saying he deserves it but from what FIFA did in 2010 and 2012,don't be surprised if he wins by scoring lots of goals.
