Happened three years ago: I have a younger sister who is deaf not by birth but she was critically sick and she lost her sense of hearing meaning she was deaf. She is only 16-17 now and i really care so much about her and every member of my family but i normally give her so much attention due to the condition she is.

It is getting to three years since she has been deaf and my parent have tried their best but all to no avail. I was told the hearing aid will bring her sense of hearing back and she will be able to hear properly and i contacted a health shop where the hearing aid is available but i was told it cost #80,000 but it cost only $150 on the internet. I have a brother in london that can get it for me but i don't want to involve her cuz i want to buy the hearing aid for her with my own money. 80K is too much cuz am not that financially strong for now and i have so many things to do.

All i want from the good NIGERIANS that are in this forum is to please give a website or the location of any store in london that u know the hearing aid can be purchase and i will inform my friend in London to get it for me.

To those naija in london also, if only one will be able to get me the hearing aids, let me know the price and i will send the money including the shipping cost to the person through western union and the person will get the hearing aids for me.

Her birthday will be on the 10th of june 2006 and i believe that is going to be the greatest gift i can ever give to her as at now.

Hi, is your sister profoundly deaf? If she is, a hearing aid wouldn't help her as far as I am aware, but she might benefit from using a cochlear implant, I don't know if these are available in Nigeria.
On the other hand if she has some hearing loss, and needs sound amplified, then the hearing aid should be okay,
