Nigeria’s national U20 team are now involved in permutations as they hope to take part in the third-place playoff of the on-going Toulon Tournament in France.

The Flying Eagles have played three games with no victory to show. They played their best game at the Toulon Tournament to hold world champions Brazil to a 1-1 draw on Tuesday night.

Nigeria now have two points from three matches and must beat Portugal on Thursday and hope Belgium beat Mexico for them to play the third-place playoff against the runners-up of Group A.

Colombia and Brazil have qualified for the final of the competition as they won their groups with nine points and 10 points, respectively.

On Tuesday, Nigeria fell behind on the dot of half time when the dangerous Erik Lima scored for Brazil when he fired a low shot past goalkeeper John Felegha.

Enugu Rangers striker Alhaji Gero made up for a couple of missed chances earlier in the game to score a superb equalizer in the 53rd minute, his second goal of the tournament.
