Your out-of-context impression of submission of the wife may be because of what you have seen of Islam (which tells you the correct way to beat your wife) or Hinduism (which treats a wife as you would a dog), or where she is tossed alive and burned to death along with her dead husband.

A Christian wife willingly submits to the leadership of her husband. That doesn’t mean that she is weak or looked down upon. She came from his rib—which means she should be under his arm and close to his heart. Look at the admonition to the Christian husband. He is to love his wife as much as he loves himself. He is her protector and provider, and he shows her the utmost love and respect. If you think the Bible oppresses women, read Proverbs 31."

The Genesis curse will be removed--no more weeds, earthquakes, deserts, floods, tornadoes, pain, aging, suffering or death. The lion will lie down with the lamb. There will be no more killer bees, killer sharks, killer snakes, etc. We will get new bodies similar to the resurrected body of Jesus. Time will be withdrawn...and we will have "pleasure forevermore." We can't wait for this! So, what's the average atheist looking forward to?
