Would you buy an electric vehicle if you could afford one? Would you buy one if it was available in Nigeria or in Africa? Please share your thoughts on the on-going love for Green Cars in the US and Europe.

@op well, why don't u try it first let's see how far n how well u handle such piece of contraption.in my own opinion I WOULD never advice anyone to buy a HYBRID car in Nigeria not to talk of an electric car. Mordern gasoline powered V6 vehicles are way too complex f®я our local mechanics to handle, Hybrids own na wahala if their battery packs or electric motors go bad (u would definitely spend a lot trying to fix or replace such parts d amount spent could even buy u a small tokumbo compact/family hatch back) n now electric powered vehicle? HELL NO! In the 1st instance, Nigeria don't have stable power supply to power these cars (abi na gen I g☺. Put for boot use dey do charge as I go?) Secondly, our baruf mechanics wey no get joy at all + unavailability of replacement parts finally I luv sudden gush of power esp wen I need to go sports or even switch on 'psycopath mode' :-P

Someday, electric vehicles will be available in Nigeria. Hopefully, the electricity situation in the country will be much better then. Whichever way, the pioneers (for such an idea in Nigeria) will ensure that charging stations have constant electricity supply.

There is a prediction from world Energy bodies that oil well could soon dry up and even if it does not countries are shifting to green cars for climate change. One thing am certain of is Nigeria Loves Copying so am preparing for the future electric cars in Nigeria.
