RIP CHINECHEREM: An 11-year-old girl, Chinecherem from Uruagu Nnewi, Anambra State died afer being raped by a 32-year-old son of her mistress. Chinecherem, an orphan and the only surviving child of her parents, was raped in the night by her mistress’s son on May 27, 2013 at Uruezi Egbema Ozubulu in Ekwusigo LGA where she was serving as a maid. The victim’s madam had travelled out leaving Chinecherem and her son to take care of the house. “When Ifeanyi defiled her, she started bleeding in the morning. The boy disappeared after raping Chinemerem and it was his father (Ifeanyi’s father) who discovered that something was wrong in the morning and took the little girl to a hospital, where she was crying in agony, touching her private part before she gave up on June 3, 2013,” There was a lot of semen deposited in her private part. The victim was said to have lived with the family for seven years and had taken her common entrance to enter junior secondary school before she met her death.

I feel like crying after seeing the picture of that little girl.honestly she does not deserve this wickedness.the person that raped her should keep jumping from house to house and should not go back to his place.he has already become a destitute.he can never settle down to have a job,marry or live a life.smh

The human mind is so evil. This was exactly why i felt no pity the other day for the rapist that was buried alive. Left for me, the penalty for rape will be death by lethal injection

You think? I recommend the death penalty for rapists. Rape should be in the same category as murder. IF you can't control your weiner, you ain't fit to be called a man but a misfit to the society

Why do you people get very emotional when you hear the word maid. Sometimes it is just the Nigerian way of saying that the child living in your house is not your biological child. The story says the girl is an orphan, the woman she's living with has taken care of her and even sent her to school for seven years. The woman did not rape her, neither is the story about how the woman sent her to the bush to get firewood at night, the woman might have been good to her as an orphan. The woman's grown up son raped her. That is the issue here.

Ps: If you are so much against orphans living in other people's houses as maids, then go on the streets and pick them, offer them food, shelter, security and education and see how easy it is. That would be a better solution than coming on NL to cry foul whenever the word maid is mentioned.
