Pls all, does anybody know the salary for a trainee @ tenaris. I just recieved a mail, asking me to reply with my prefered salary

I would appreciate ur advice. @Abengine et al
Re: Tenaris Selection Process - Global Trainee Nigeria by ABEngine(m): 6:45pm On Jul 05, 2013
I havent been able to find previous trainee from Nigeria but I know from the salary range I see on glassdoor.com it wouldnt be misleading to pitch our tents btwn $1300~$1800 Per month.

I stand to be adviced appropraitely as otherwise, that was my response.

By the way, where you not asked same during your interview?
Re: Tenaris Selection Process - Global Trainee Nigeria by Wiseoldman: 6:53pm On Jul 05, 2013
Nope i wasnt asked, im sure its like dat for other lag peps, did ph get d mail to, and have u replied her?

Also, did u give a range or did u just give a specific amt?
Re: Tenaris Selection Process - Global Trainee Nigeria by ABEngine(m): 7:09pm On Jul 05, 2013
Back here we were all asked #me think#

Its more flexible responding with a range when it comes to salary negotiations.

One other thing, consider if its gross or net pay you are being asked for.

Re: Tenaris Selection Process - Global Trainee Nigeria by 4mula22(m): 10:35am On Jul 16, 2013
I'm just curious...
After d final interview, theu mailed some candidate to complete an online PPA
Dey called some candidates later for anoda interview on phone... I heard sum1 mention sth abt giving them a salary range...

Its now almost impossible to predict dem anymore... Who'll be dropped, and who'll continue.

I just hope dey reply soon, so we'll know where we stand.
Re: Tenaris Selection Process - Global Trainee Nigeria by ABEngine(m): 11:12am On Jul 16, 2013
I really cant understand why they have chosen not to keep us informed.

The guys that were called on phone where not queried about their salaries during the interviews.

One other thing to consider is what point of their financial year is this?

I think they are trying to harmonize the schedules of various heads of departments that should be interviewing up alongside the country manager too. lets just hope any of this assumptions are fact

Welcome on board mates.... I've been at this final stage for over a month now. #itiswell

Btw congrats @AB Engine @Wise_old_man @all

Further exclusive info, the Country manager was on vacation and the annual budget was also been discussed which caused the slight delay. However, I reckon things should be a lot faster now since you guys in Nigeria have started getting the final stage invite.

Basically, the process here (UK) is similar to the one in Nigeria...

Online test - Assessment centre (3 stages including company presentation, a 'killer' numeric test, scenarios and group exercise) - three man panel face-to-face HR interview - Personality test - Country manager interview - Offer Letter (I think).

Over here we were about 30pple that got to the assessment centre, however only 5 of us got to the face-to-face HR interview and I reckon they might have gotten rid of some people at this stage (not sure about this though). Then the last stage is the Country manager interview which I am waiting for (I got the confirmation mail and a couple of postponed scheduled phone interviews, which has been duly explained). Nonetheless, a few people have done this interview (not sure how many).

So there you go mate!... a brief summary of the process so far.

NB: On the job ad it says they are looking to recruit only 2pple... Not sure if this has changed cos Pablo mentioned during the presentation that they are looking to recruit a couple of pple for the Nigerian office but not sure how many.
