In Search Of National Icons; Past And Present. by Joey82(m): 9:58am On Jun 13, 2013
I decided to start this thread because of differing views on the june 12 saga.
A lot of commentators see Abiola as a messiah who ought to be celebrated while others see him as a selfish tyrant who manipulated the polity several times to suit his personal ambitions.
Same differing views crop up at the mention of past politicians/leaders like zik, ojukwu, awolowo, buhari, murtala, obj etc.
My question is aren't there any icons who we can remember stood for patriotism without been partisan, self serving and tribal?
If you any such past leader please share with us exactly what u think.
