Wow! Omoovie sounds like my twin!! I only do world music and rock. I've tried to enjoy mainstream stuff in the past - it didn't work. Sadly,though, most of the artists I enjoy are slightly less popular but they rock!! Switchfoot, POD, Creed, Evanescence, Red, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Stained, Good Charlotte (Bad, I know!), Blink 182, Demon Hunter, Emery, Blindside, Relient K, Pax217, Pillar, The Almost, Ok I'll stop now, but it would be nice to know that other Naija people know/enjoy these music types :-)

What kind of world music do you like? Right now, I'm really digging African artistes like Aster Aweke & Gigi from Ethiopia, Malouma from Mauritania, Zap Zama from Congo & Zap Mama (Congo/Belgium), and so many others men! African music is like totally the last frontier of music! They just do such fascinating, unique soundscapes with modern and traditional instruments and vocals. I'm so proud! Let's not forget the classics - Baaba Maal, Oumou Sangare, Salif Keita, Miriam Makeba, Angelique Kidjo, I can go on!

This band didn't really last long as a rock band maybe because they are in Korea and the Korean scene is more pop/hiphop than metal or rock. I was enamoured of the possibilities though. The blonde guy would have been cool to see live!

By the way Chukky76 -- Tokio Hotel isn't Japanese. I'm really into the Japanese rock/metal/Visual Kei scene. They are from Germany. They are however popular in Japan too. I think the lead guy's kind of creepy. I have a deep compulsion to feed him every time I see one of their videos!

Unfortunately, it might just be you. Youtube is very quick for me. There's another shareware program that you can download rock music from called μtorrent (mUtorrent). Let me know if that helps.

I'm not a huge rock fan but I like green day.

I am totally Rock Crazy! Recently i bought my first C.d this year and it was the t.v series "ONE TREE HILL" Friends with Benefit Original Sound track. It has fantastic Rock Musicians like Jacks Manniquninn and i dont go a day without listening to "Dark blue" or the Mixed Tape"

Other Rock Artists i adore include:

Kate Voegele, Jamiroquai, Alien Ant, Kt Tunsall, Fat boy slim, Feeder, Haley James Scott and the kings of Rap Rock-Linkin Park. In fact my best Piddy Diddy's song ever is the Rock song he did for the Godzilla Movie sound track!

I cant wait forthe first Rock Concert that will be held in Nigeria

I can't remember the last time i watched soundcity or hip hop world. Too much trashy Nigerian music on air these days. Thank God for Jacks Manniquinn!
