Great Engineers! This is a meeting point for young engineers especially those still in higher institutions of learning. Let's brainstorm, Let's help one another. There is no restriction to a particular field. Feel free to post an idea or a problem so we can look at it together. In a world where technology is advancing speedily, it is nesessary we keep ourselves updated and upgraded. My vision is that at some point young minds engaged in various fields of engineering will harmonize their skills and efforts into a project that will be of huge benefit to mankind.

@zetdee, talking about light current...pls I have a question; in lighting a bulb, what connection of batteries is most effecient, series or parallel (explanation needed pls)

Serias connection will increase your voltage making you light bulb brighter, parallel connection will increase your capacity, therefore power will last longer. Parallel connection is most effecient.

what is the negative effect of using series connection

movicy: what is the negative effect of using series connection

Although it makes your bulg brighter, it exhausts your battery faster

Correct! Wish you a rich and fulfilled training
Pls can you help us find out why it takes most construction companies so much time to complete our roads, bridges e.t.c is it due economic or professional reasons.

Everything depends on Due Process,bro..Sometimes it is the Fault of the Decision Makers(The Govt) in terms of Delay to release funds needed 2 do the Construction work in time..also d Company/Contractor involved in the Project can also play their part by Using Greedy persons who want their personal gain by Taking d Bulk of d Fund 4 themselves & use d Rest 2 do d Project thereby leading 2 incomplete/Bad construction typical in Many Roads...The Climate,Topography and Natural terrain of d Place can also Cause Delay...But in some Situation,Corruption is the Main Element in the delay of Engineering/Construction Projects.
