Please can anyone describe what is meant by "Cinnamon"?

I saw it in a recipe but i don't know what it means.

its a sweet smelling spice, used mostly for cakes and confectionaries, yuuummy with banana cake,

@iice how come you dont like it? i haaated it before tho, now i looooove it!

m.i atleast you got over yours, am still battling mine. . .
My ex's mom used to cook everything with it. . .her stew, her soup. . .i couldn't stand the thing
and even though that ways eons ago, i still can't stand the smell or taste, i don't eat anything thing with it. . .
sad coz i can't enjoy an apple pie!!

!iice, stew? soup? that's cinnamon abuse! i understand why it has traumatised you sha, my friend showed up with jollof rice that she put cinnamon inside, LORD! how i managed to choke the thing down is still a mystery, lol, if you want to get to start enjoying your apple pie, just try it in small doses, in SWEET food, not savoury like some pople are exterts at, put it in coffee, on french toast, a little bit on cake, baby steps tongue

Have not taste it before neither have I seen it physically except when i goolge it, i hope i would like it with the way u people are talking about it sha. Anyway where can i get it, is it from those that sells food stuff? Do they know it as Cinnamon or is there any other way which it is called? I want to try it. How do we add it to our food, sliced or chopped, blend etc.?

Yeah i tried it in small doses, but i can only manage a bite of apple pie angry angry even tarts, i can only manage one bite and i want to hurl angry angry It's irritating i tell you. . .can't even stand the smell. . .
