The NOK culture in present day JOS region?

Apparently, they've been around as early as 1000BC right up to 300AD

are u sure d Nok culture pre-dates d kanem-borno empire....cos to some extent as i know,d kanem-borno empire appears to be d eldest of all empires in d N of naija,or do u have a link juxtaposing the two cultures in age?

What make you think the Kanem-Borno empire was in existence before the NOK? Have you got any dates?

but there one thing we need to trash out here.d NOK actually as i think isnt perceived purely as a tribe or ethnic group dat existed.wen u go on to read more about d NOK culture,u ll find some degree of uncertainty about the true existence of d NOK bot of course, that still does not invalidate the claims of d ancient ages it existed,...but however,d bone of contention here is "is d NOK culture actually an empire or tribe commonwealth(permit d use of that) that actually predates any other in nigeria?
