The Federal Government has extended completion on the rehabilitation of Onitsha-Enugu carriageway and the reconstruction of Owerri-Omanelu road projects till 2014 in order to allow the contractors finish all that is needed to be done as government is desirous to commission the projects in record time.

The gentleman is talking about Onitsha - owerri road and you are here bringing up Onitsha - Enugu and Owerri - Omanelu. Are they the same road? Most of you have never travelled out of Lagos and will open your smelly mouths to talk about the Nigeria you do not know.

No it doesn't look like Benin-Asaba. Its finer. It was completed in 2011 with some patches around Ihiala axis.

@abes, the Onitsha-Imo road is about the best road in SE/SS, though with some bad spots around imo areas of the road.

The one shown on the pix is the approach to city of Onitsha.

I hope that useless rogue (Rochas) will not claim the achievement.

About the best federal road in the S/east. Heard julius berger constructed it. Was hoping the onitsha enugu road would be built thesame way but i'm seeing something shaby done now

Take note, work on that road was less than 10% when Obasanjo left office in May 2007.

Work started on that road in 2003 and Julius Berger was quick to complete the Owerri end while the Chinese company handling the Onitsha end delayed the completion. The road was awarded Obj and work was ongoing till he left office. Your 10% assertion is wrong.

Igbometer call me what you like , I will continue to speak the truth on this forum, all is not well with the SE, the earlier we do something about it the better. PDP is a plaque it will only do us good to get rid of them.

Have it bothered you why non of our governors is amongst the most performing governors in the country.
