Kindly assist. My Honda Cross tour, black with cream colour interior was snatched at gun point in Area one Abuja last night at about 8:30pm.(24th June 2013) Below is the details of the car. ENGINE NO. J352225311363 CHASIS NO: SJ6TF2834CL700235 PLATE NO: BWR 68 AG Should you see the car, please contact the nearest police station or call me 08163232750. I have reported to police authorities but you just never can tell how far this may assist. I will gladly reward whoever sees the car with a million for going through the stress. I am also sorry for posting in this segment of the forum. dont know where to post it. Many thanks. |

Built2last: It is advisable to complete insurance papers before driving the vehicle from where it is bought. Car tracker is secondary and might not really be necessary. If the guys have knowledge the car is installed with security features it might spell doom. God forbid! I pray your car is found. 1 Like |

The issue with car trackers is that they "report" their position over the GSM/GPRS networks. As soon as thieves use a GSM jammer, it won't work anymore. They activat ethe jammer before snatching the targeted car, and turn it off only once they find and remove the GPS device. It's very good in first hour after the theft, after that not so much. 1 Like |

My Honda Cross tour, black with cream colour interior was snatched at gun point in Area one Abuja last night at about 8:30pm.(24th June 2013) Did you install a tracker, if you did, it should not be difficult to get it back especially if you also inscribed numbers on all the parts that matter. that way no one will be able to buy the parts off the thiefs. Secondly, do you have an insurance on it, if you did, you can sleep easy. Infact if you have an insurance with the guys i use (Cornerstone), at the point of insurance, they also install a tracker as it will also help them against payment of claims as the car will not be removed. They installed geo-fencing on my new SUV which means whenever the vehicle gets to any of the borders, the engine will switch off and cannot be driven whether to Chad, Cotonou, cameroun or wherever you want to access.
