Ddnt know much about the oil, should be in the owner's manual or oil cap. Though yr mileage will influence choic of oil. Check those and post so the experts cann reply accurately.

For the rims, u have to be careful cos there r the sub-stanndard rims that crack easily wen u hit rough potholes and there r the originnal ones (more expensive), and there r the used-original ones that r mid-priced (check ponteka in KD).

Depending on the kind u want, budget 40-45k give or take.

Cheers.

Before I respond to the alloy wheel issue, please make me understand this - are you looking to fit 20" wheels to your '98 Toyota Camry?

Usually, it's the tire profile and springs that determine the ground clearance more than the wheel size. 22" rim need not take you higher than a high profile tire on a smaller road wheel (rim). But then I'm not a specialist in these matters smiley.

I would say the wheel arches of the Honda Accord are too small to accommodate 20" wheels. And with 18" wheels on the Camry, they'll fit, but only just. With 2 passengers, the tyres will rub on the arches. And you'll have very thin tyre profiles.

Hit a pothole even at moderate speeds, you'll buckle the wheels. And the ride will be hard and uncompromising. I would stick to 16" wheels on the Camry, with 17" for the Accord, both with high-profile tyres.

So 215/65x16 and 225/55x18.

Oga Siena Sir, I have this 1996 Nissan Primera with 14" rims. The problem is that with 185/65/14 tyres, the car scratches the ground damaging the bumper, (hope you understand what I mean by bumper), my allignment man said a bigger tyre say 15" rim will affect the car balance and fuel consumption, is this true? what can I do sir, thanks.

15" wheels won't have any adverse effect on handling and gas mileage, seeing as 15" wheels were a Nissan option on your car. With 15" wheels, you'll need any of the following tyre sizes:

185/55x15
195/55x15
205/50x15
215/50x15

@Oga Seina,
Got this vehicle few months ago.
please my factory recommended tire size for 2001 Toyota Highlander is 225/70 R16.
But I would like to increase the ground clearance (high profile) and also not to affect the wheel arches, because of the nature of the roads I regularly take in PH.
please what tire size will you recommend outside the factory recommended tire, as am planning to replace the old tires that came with the vehicle. Thanks!

Your tyre size is fine. If you wish to increase ground clearance, there are lift kits available for your truck.

Thanks Siena, appreciate your quick response. Will keep the lift kit in the loop for now and take a rain check on it.
However, what is the difference between the different number series that usually comes with the tires like 101S, 102S etc. with respect to my tire size (225/70 R16).

The numbers denote the load rating, while the alphabet represents the speed rating.

guy putting big rims na jst fashion all u need is high profile tire and for ur suspension to be checked. My C230K drives on 15" rims and I don't have problem with bumbs of 'gutter' holes. Trust me u'l look like a rapper wanna be in a 20" accord.

Nice sense of humour though.

Thanks Siena!
please, I would love to know if those my factory standard for the Toyota Highlander(2002 model - 225/70 R16))are high profile tires or is there any other tire rating that will enable me achieve more grand clearance, but still retain stability and also not go high on fuel consumption.
