ACM10: They should first return all the money stashed by the past and present Nigeria's corrupt leaders in Paris, Zurich, Munich, London. Then investigate the source of wealth of those leaders. Finally, make EU hostile to the corrupt leaders. If not, they are wssting their time.

You are right my dear, the EU are only good in repatriating the illegal immigrants but never repatriate the illegal funds in their territories.

This donated fund will create another corrupt officials in Nigeria, the EU is only trying to quench fire with petrol. Rat can never be a watchman to a fish.

This is the only country in the world where vice and crime pays in tremendous proportion. EU is compensating Nigeria for being corrupt. When the father beats the drum, the child will dance like a drunkard.

The Jonathan Govt is a corrupt govt.A govt nt trying to cub corruption but granting Pardon to corrupt leaders.I heard few weeks back on the news, that Nigeria is holding talks with foreign countries to reach an agreement on prison transfer, the thought of Ibori came to my mind,am sure once he gets to dis country he will be released and even contest for senate.

GEJ and his entourage are going to China to borrow $3 billion,I can bet u that money has already been shared among them. Until we take to the streets, this country may nt survive the next 50yrs from nw.

Its more like saying paying them to stop corruption. The funny thing is they will not stop it cos the money they get from it is way more than quadriple of what is been offered. So what will happen to the 70million is this: they reject it or use it as capital for more corrupt practices.

GEJ should understand that even the EU sees his govt as a corrupt govt and that the democracy is weak because they have failed to abide by democratic principles. This is shameful because the EU considers that corruption must be fought in Nigeria while neglecting crumbling european economies. Imagine what that money will do in european economy...

I always laugh when ever Nigerians say politicians are corrupt, "this is because politicians are saints when compared with nigerian civil servants" .For instance, FG directors in govt ministries and parastatals are richer than most state governors.

There is more to this gift. Is it Europe that is currently facing unemployment problems et al that will be generous enough to 'dash' money to Nig? I trust the Nig govt, they will kuku accept the money.

I don't know when we will understand that their nothing like free money in white man's dictionary.

We should all think............

EU Loses $153 BILLION To Corruption Yearly

"Opportunities for fraud are open and they are taken advantage of. The most elementary precautions are neither taken nor even contemplated. The reverse is the case. People such as myself, who attempt to bring openness and accountability to the system, are pursued, suspended and dismissed."

sunkoye: EU is simply just dumb! Smh

Actually they are not dumb at all. They know exactly what they're doing. The EU and USA still dish out 'foreign aid' to China till today, even though the US is China's biggest debtor, owing China $1.26 trillion.

The west is generally addicted to its former colonial status as the ''superior power''. They believe they've benefitted from that status. So they wish to continue propagating the illusion, even when facts and realities fly in the face of what they're doing.

Also, a lot of these grants they give are tied to conditions which make recipient nations spend the same money on corrupt European bureacrats, NGOs, and job men who fly around in 5 star comfort, and depend on those aid monies for their careers. So it really is all a scam to keep their European elite palms greased with lucre.

We don't need their money to fight corruption, we just need them to stop accepting stolen funds from Nigeria into their banks and financial institutions, that's where they need to start from.
