well i dont think its your dream to travel out because if it was your dream, u would have a better country in mind and must have made all your findings right!

.expecting to blow and land a job in a countru like dubai na shallow thinking

the main reason most people leave naija to hustle abroad is probably cos they are suffering here, so they decide to go to at least a better country where their hustle has a higher chances of bringing money for them..

u cant get to a country and run after few weeks , u are too immature man!!! u expect say make oyinbo begin shower u with money as u land for airport abi??

you gotta work for everything u have! only difference between 'abroad' and naija na the comfort and openess to opportunities.....

people who travel abroad as a hustler with the mindset of making millions easily
never make it most times

u just gotta have a plan dawg! even if na gigolo u wan go do for there

u still gotta have a plan

Yes you earn 650K and a room costs about 500K
With your 650K can you marry a wife and keep her in Dubai
Do you have a room of your own or how many of you are sharing a standard room
Be here spitting out the bright side and continue misleading people with huge figures

Lol. Some of us believe that - when we travel, our problems get solved.

Yes, living in dubai might not be all that rosy - but frankly speaking, what do you expect when you come in to a country with just your GCE/WAEC or no cert(s) at all?

You expect to work in an audit firm? Or a bank? Or a Government entity?

Ofcourse not. .Best you can ever end up with is - Receptionist, working in deira as agent/cargo boy, working in sharjah selling spare parts, or in some iron and steel factory in Abudhabi carrying heavy metals and doing menial jobs. Salary ranges from 800aed - 4500aed for this category. I'd say the factory workers get a bit lucky here - as they might earn between 800aed - 1500aed, but their accommodation and feeding gets catered to. Their expenses is practically zero - 800aed to naira is about 90k+ Naira. Are they better off in Nigeria? Maybe/maybe not - to each their own.

Another category are the Nigerians in the real estate firms in Dubai. The salary ranges from 5k aed - 15k aed, but the twist here is - they largely depend on commissions. So if you're lucky enough to sell a unit for your company, then you get a percentage. This market has since crashed since Buhari came in - as the corrupt guys laundering these funds can no longer do so. .

Having said that, some Nigerians do get lucky - especially if you are a specialist in your field - with some years of experience. Once you have something people want. .something unique. .employers will come for you. .and guess what, they won't come with low-ball offers. I know some Nigerians here in Dubai that earn 10kaed monthly, some earn 20k aed, some earn 40k aed, some get free accommodation, return ticket to home country every year etc.

At the end of the day, what applies here in Dubai, applies everywhere else too. You have something valuable to offer potential employers? They come for you. .You have nothing to offer - no show. Nothing ever comes easy.

I stay at Al nahda sharjah. And my room cost about 250k you can get a cheaper room at Ajman for about 180,000.
You so ignorant. I stay in a luxury apartment on the 6th floor. A 3 bedroom apartment n each room cost about 250k monthly and we all share power bill n water equally.
And who d hell told u a room cost 500k? You are just pathetic. It's people like you that are easily deceived.
If you are an engineer you stand a better chance coming here n getting a job.
If you searching for any job search for organisations that are run by Europeans. Indians or Arabs won't pay u that much......

Hmmmm
I was working and living in Dubai
My single studio apartment as at last year in Jebel Ali/The gardens (mind you this is not the highbrow area of Dubai) is 45,000AED/Year and that is 3750AED/month = 450,000Naira. Excluding DEWA(light/water) and Internet which costs about 600AED/Month =72,000.
That is 522,000... at a point I had to get a room mate..
Why should I stay in Ajman, Fujairah and Sharjah when my job is in Dubai?
This is only for accommodation, talk of transportation and feeding, recreation
I am no where close to being pathetic

Someone like you are the people encouraging married man living in Nigeria and earning 150K to come to Dubai to earn 650K

You were ignorant bro, Al Quasis is in Dubai and you can get a room for 2,500aed, also in Al Nadha Dubai. Both places are proxy to the metro stations.
I work in Duabi and I live in Al Nahda Sharjar which is just at the border of Dubai, it takes me 1 hr to get to my work place. Gardens is among the highbrow areas if you dont know. You were not calculative enough. And why rent a studio apartment when you can rent a room and share Kitchen with your co tenants.
If you are mobile, have your own Vehicle, Sharjar or Ajman would be more affordable for you. But If you dont, then it would have been wise of you to get a place in Al Quasis, Al Nahda Dubai side or Sharjar side. Theose are the outskirts areas and are relatively cheap and affordable. You were unwise and you have yourself to blame my dear.

See before I venture into anything, I try to weigh the options thoroughly. I am not like most people who just jump into conclusion or act on impulse and end up gnashing their teeth and blaming others for their ignorance and lack of tact.....

Out of all the places is Gardens you went to... You for go Jumeriah na....

You messed up OP, dubai of all places? Hell where u thinking?
You could have used that money and time to go to Germany/Netherlands/Denmark where they have lenient immigration laws
With very strong currency. Why in Gods name would u choose to go to a muslim country of all places with strict immigration laws?
Also you gave up too quick. I guess you're not the kind of guy to keep pushing

Exactly what I was thinking, of all places DUBAI? A Muslim country for that matter smh

Shes talking about saudi being a tolerant country
They are very strict on immigration policies as compared to other country
Even when other muslim countries like Syria and Libya where torn by war, it was still the Christian countries like Germany, Netherlands that welcomed them, with Germany taking more than 800,000 refugees. Helped them assimilate, provided them with welfare and even went to the point of teaching refugees how to flirt with germanic women. Both Dubai and saudi did not take even 1. No one said you cant make it in there, but the odds will always be stacked against you.

Smh.... Do u know that the ministry of labour here protects the right of every person whether from Africa or Asia. Any organisation or individual that violates anyone's right will pay heavily for damages. I know a Nigerian who was paid 12,000 aed because his rights where violated.
Don't be hasty to generalise.... They are not like the fulanis with stinking ego..... and don't mistake the UAE with Saudi Arabia. UAE is far more liberal and accommodating.....

Why do u think foreigners constitute over 80% of the population here in UAE?

But I have never been harassed or my rights violated in my 1 year of staying here in UAE....
