Igbos Should Forget 2015 Presidency – Arthur Nzeribe by Abagworo(m): 8:17pm On Jul 24, 2013
ABUJA- AHEAD of the 2015 Presidential election, Senator Arthur Nzeribe Wednesday asked his kinsmen, the Igbos to jettison that idea as that will not be feasible because of lack of unity in the zone, just as he warned that the people of the East were not just ready for it.
He also said that if the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP must get it right and move away from its present crises, the National Chairman, Alhaji Bamanga Tukur, all members of the National Working Committee, NWC must go, adding, ‘’the PDP must clear the desk including Bamanga Tukur to get it right.’’

Speaking with Journalists yesterday at his Apo residence in Abuja, the Oguta born Political Maverick from Orlu, Imo State, told his people bluntly that before they seek for the exalted position, they must first put their house in order by speaking in unison.
Chief Nzeribe who based his position on previous unsuccessful attempts by the Igbos and also due to what he termed endemic disarray amongst the Igbo politicians, said, ‘‘Until we start speaking with one voice we cannot get the Presidency’’. We should not try it now, we are not just ready for anything like that, we must first put our house in order.’’
He also warned that ahead of 2015 elections, Nigerians must note that the country was bigger than any body irrespective of status, adding that politicians must therefore put their selfish interest in their handbags to save the country.

The culture of divisive politics must be eradicated in Igboland, if other parts of the country will take us serious. The old fox has spoken!

Get your house in order first before we consider you to lead the country.

You want to lead the country and you also want to create your own country (Biafra). Which one do you really one?

And that is really the BIG problem! It's like saying give me MY OWN THING EXCLUSIVELY but I will ALSO SHARE YOUR OWN WITH YOU & CLAIM RIGHTS! How is that possible? How can Ibos want a country of their own, yet still want to be in the South West, North and Eastern Nigeria as residents or citizens? Nigeria may verily make it impossible for any ibo, by ancestry to any point in history, to live in any part of Nigeria but this is a huge resource demand to enforce! Also, their may be human abuses, UN wahala, morality issues, all kinds of issues! The ibos like any human beings will want to be smart by changing their names, learning the language, blending in (it is natural to do so to get what you really want) but Nigeria would rather and should not be allocating such resources to hunting down illegal residents or citizens. If it can't effectively stop it at such huge costs, why allow it in the first place? These are real questions that need answers from Ibos.

arthur nzeribe should shut up afterall he knows that ndigbo are certain to support jonathan in 2015.
what is his real motive here? i mean real motive
he should tell us what he did to support igbo unity when he had the chance.
all thieves and charlatans in igboland should stop talking about "igbo unity" as if they have a clue what that means! undecided

Yorubas don dey tell them for decades to put their house in order. Imagine if na Tinubu talked the same thing Nzeribe just said, this thread for don reach 20 pages with venoms.

They have a very long way to go after putting their house in order. They also need to love their neighbors like themselves. They need to stop hating people. They need to stop jealousy. They must stop blackmailing their opponents. They must desist from all forms of bigotry. They must learn to say thank you when rendered favors.

Altimately, they must renounce Biafra talk for life, level Alaigbo and turn it to football field.

Nzeribe spoke the obvious truth. Igbo as a people would rather support someone else than their own because of little patronage. That alone makes others weary of Igbo leadership at high level. We are forever left as supporters of "AGIP" without our own stand.

Yes Arthur has his flaws which is even on record but it does not stop him from saying some truths. I even have a feeling he went to Abuja for his share.

So it's true. You guys are really from the Ni.gga Area.

This man is one of Africa's worse souls and yet people are here acting as if they have already forgotten all the rubbish he did for his Igbo people and the nation at large.

Too bad.

Most times,you speak absent wisdom.

Why were Atiku,IBB,Buhari, etc beaten by the GEJ? Why did they even lose elections in core northern states against GEJ? Why was it so easy for GEJ to get the north to vote against northerners?

In Nigerian politics, who ever controls the centre rigs/win elections, cos he will have acess to federal money that would enable him buy all the other thieves from other regions, wasn't that how GEJ bought SW votes from Tinubu and his ACN goons? Wasn't that how GEJ was able to buy off the power brokers in the north, dividing them and taming Atiku and Buhari influence.

Why did the north lose to GEJ? was it because the north was not united, was it becos they would rather vote for GEJ than for Atiku or Buhari, or was it becos they are AGIP? The north has only stayed out of power for 14years,and already we can see how powerless and divided they have become, contrast this to ndiigbo that have been out of power since 1966.

GEJ bought all the religious leaders in the north last time, didn't we see the northerners trying to burn the palace of one of those leaders right after the election result came out.

How come you didn't blame northerners for not being united or for being AGIP then, or does this your rule only apply to igbos?

Few years ago the youths of Orlu went around the town with coffins and Obituary of this 419 kingpin, proclaiming him dead and effectively burying his political career. Since then he has become irrelevant not only in orlu but Igboland as a whole. To every sane Igboman, he is a living dead. A walking corpse deserve no response.
