David Villa already popped 2 goals.
The 2nd goal set up by Iniesta is the best i have seen in the tournament.
Senna sat as a holding midfielder allowing Xavi and Iniesta to bomb forward n assist the 2 front men.
Spot on, Mr Aragones!!!

Senna and Xavi are ripping the Russians apart.
The vision and awareness of Torres/Villa have been the key in the match.
I dont see Russia coming back in this game.

Re: European Nations Cup 2008 Discussion Thread by soccerchic(f): 5:57pm On Jun 10, 2008
I agree, Villa and Torres seem to be communicating telepatic. Russia might score in the 2nd half. They are strong. i would not count them out just yet ( even though I want) grin
Re: European Nations Cup 2008 Discussion Thread by Xerxes4(m): 6:02pm On Jun 10, 2008
@ Soccerchic,

The Russians cannot defend. It has been too easy for Spain.
It coulda been 4 goals for Spain in the 1st half. . . .
The way Torres kept poking shots at the Russian goalie has been top drawer.
Re: European Nations Cup 2008 Discussion Thread by soccerchic(f): 6:11pm On Jun 10, 2008

Villa banged a hatrick!!!!
What a peach pass from Fabregas. . . . . .
These Russians cannot defend to save their mommas on their sick beds.
Pathetic!!!!!!!  They shoulda let England qualify for the tournament.

Why should i eat me heart out?
Fabregas is the best player in Arsenal and yet he is a bench warmer for Spain.
Xavi, Iniesta, Senna, Arteta and Xabi Alonso are all better than Fab4 for Spain.
He must be cussing his luck for being in a generation of better midfield players. . . . . .I feel sorry for him.
Re: European Nations Cup 2008 Discussion Thread by nazzyon(m): 6:45pm On Jun 10, 2008
Russia is not a worthy opponents for Spain.

So I am not surprised by the result.

Re: European Nations Cup 2008 Discussion Thread by Xerxes4(m): 6:55pm On Jun 10, 2008
His 1st international goal? grin grin grin grin
Congrats. . . . . I felt this was his 100th international goal.
What's so special about Fab4? What has he won as a player for club/country?

@ Dr Kitaun,

I saw the clips of Rio Ferdinand in Lagos. . . . . It's so amusing ur uncle had to make him a chief in Lagos!!!
Why are y'all Lagosians ass-kissers? Legit people who should be made cheifs are being denied because a Peckham boy visits Fashola?
I will personally probe Fashola after his term. . . Mark me words!!!
Re: European Nations Cup 2008 Discussion Thread by AJITERU: 6:57pm On Jun 10, 2008
what a match? I think Spain and Holland are the best favourity team to be in the final and it'll be very nice and lovely to see the two teams in the final.

It's too early to say. . . .
France, Italy, Germany and Portugal shouldn't be under-estimated.

What about Gerrard and Essien?? Are u guys aiiiight?

nazzyon:

I disagree with you.
Spain and Portugal can only play pretty football.
Go physical with them the way Romania and Germany play and they will be found wanting.

I am not seeing either of those to any where near the trophy.
