ASUU May Call-off Strike Next Week by olillywales(m): 10:57pm On Jul 26, 2013
The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has indicated that it may call off its indefinite strike next week.

The Academic Union indicated after several agreements were reached with the federal government during closed doors meting which resumed today.

After hours of talks behind closed doors, the chairman of the 19-man committee, Governor Gabriel Suswam said it had resolved many of the outstanding issues with the ASUU except two which would be tackled at a resumed meeting next week.

Governor Gabriel Suswam explained that the committee will work hard to solve all issues that have led to strikes for several decades as well as enhance the internally generated revenue base of all public universities in the country.

I know this topic will make the front page in the morning so make I book my space sharp sharp. I will come back and comment later. Please let me know when it does by liking this.

Now I can talk. My own be say this ASUU too dey give trouble. They've been on strike annually since 2001. It's either an increment in their salaries or an increment in their retirement age. Abeg make them go sit down and stop frustrating students for their selfish interests.

I hope they have not let our staying at home be in vain. They should endeavor to finalise all agreements and bring it to a reasonable conclusion before calling off the strike.
Already dusting my books in preparation for CA/Exam because datz the next agenda immediately after the strike.

The mistake Nigerians keep making is that they are expecting Technological Revolution from our Professors at diverse Citadel of learning in Nigeria. This is a big mistake o!

We have more Political Professors than Real Professors now.

Give our Lecturers/Professor;
*Project money and they will buy Prado Jeep.
*Research Grants and they will buy Rolex Wrist-watch.

They want to dull lecture rooms till they clock 75years.

Those ladies that invented Urine-Powered Electricity Generators are still in secondary school.

Thanks to Google search engine, Wikipedia, many students knows more than there Lecturers who still go about with 1971 developed lecture note! In some of these lecturers notes, they still have it there that there is no water on Planet Mars.

It is in the Nigerian academic world that you'll experience the worst enmity and bitterness, they hate themselves; they only unite to fight for more money.

This lecturers are part of Nigerias problem.
Bunch of lazy, wicked people. I tell you, among our leaders and these lecturers I don't know who is more heartless.
1. They are never satisfied
2. They take delight in failing students (you should visit OAU and attend a random lecture esp in English, geology, philosophy.
3. Some of them don't know shi.t, they crammed their way through school
The list is long, oh boy if u see where lecturer dey deduct mark, you fear for life of innocent students that are being ruined.
Kai, my eyes don see things
If my child will school in Nigeria, it won't be federal or state universities.
