guys, which of these two is most preferable, cos i have seen on this forum where someone opened thread on atfs and said it very ok to use substitutes and another person on another thread says it bad for the gearbox and should only serve as a temporary replacement(same thing written in the honda manual) and should be drained off as soon as possible and use only honda atf.
secondly is there a proper way to drain/refill ur transmission fluid.

You have already answered your own question. The car owner's manual is always the best reference for your vehicles maintenance.

searched for it and cant find, thats i asked to knw if dextron is safe to use cos its available in the market

@OP, did you eventually got Honda ATF, and how is your engine faring?
