Really no noticeable difference. If u are not a Highlander user u won't notice any difference. I think they changed the rims from 6 spokes to 5 spokes on the Limited models. Also the v6 engine was upgraded to 3.3 L giving 225 HP opposed to 3.0 L at 220 HP on older models. Base models of 2005 models upgraded to alloy rims instead of rim covers. Most of the options that were optional on older models became standard.... Like stability control, tyre pressure monitor, side curtain airbags, etc. Navigation became optional from 2005 which was not available on older models.

Also from 2005 upwards the transmission was changed to 5 speed automatic for the v6. Older models had 4 speed auto.

in addition, when you observe there are subtle frontal exterior changes such as slight change in the front design, the fog lamps are smaller when compared to the older model, the older model had dual oval shaped headlamp reflectors and a parking/turn light which was basically curved rectangular shape, the later models featured a squared dip beam reflector placed with a round high beam reflector with clear lens turn signal/parking light, new grille design as opposed to the 2 horizontal bar grille in older models. Rear exterior changes includes an updated clear reverse and turnsignal light casing which had a red strip running through them, and subtle rear bumper design change.

Your analysis was great. Please is there any difference in their dashboard?
