What about the "I go drive myself"?
Re: 5 Kinds Of Nigerian Drivers To Keep-0ff! by tegax(m): 6:06pm On Aug 14, 2013
wellmax: There are also the "horn-loving" drivers. Always hooting for no just cause.

Oga at the top is what I call myself

I love the horn pattern of driving. It serves as a commanding tool and it works for me always. So sweet the way others become so cautious and step aside for me, including the so-called reckless drivers

vivacious vivi: You forgot to mention the Keke Napep dudes!
I dislike them with a passion. They squeeze anywhere and everywhere.
Your side mirrors are not safe the moment you see one buzzing around your car.
And when they decide to make a quick U-turn, mehn...my heart skips! I feel the poor (vehicle, bike ) will fall over!!!

Do you own a car?

Watch out for the money vans and their police escorts. These guys drive like horsemen from hell.

Do anything to keep away from the governors', president's convoy. They are worse than the money vans.

Yoshi-Master:

These are the worst, I don't mind if you are going to drive fast, but do so in your own lane.

Nigerians hardly respect the sanctity(so to speak) of lanes.

Being in your own lane should give you a sense of security when driving by other vehicles, knowing that nobody is going to suddenly converge in on your lane.

Staying in your lane, and using your signal to get out if need be, should be enforced in Nigeria.
I agree with you 101%.

But the irony is that 90% of Nigerian roads dont have ANY FORM OF MARKINGS! angry angry wink

Its such an important part of roads you would think that Govt would make it mandatory for any road construction company.

Fashola has tried in this regards, with respect to roads he has constructed but l want to plead with him to engage "reputable companys", define standards for them and let them go about "putting markings on ALL Lagos roads".

Road markings are not just done with "white Oiyel Paint" (as done in Lagos), the markings are cement-impregnated paints ...and should last very long!

Ekoo oni'baje O! shocked shocked

so u are one of those that hoot their horn needlessly and u think its a good thing. Some drivers are so blunt they horn even when they know the road is blocked. Some even horn in the hospital. Whenever I see such blunt driver behind me hooting his horn behind me when he knows there's no way I can move faster or get out of the road for him because of traffic, I just roll down my sun roof and give him the middle finger. Then I will deliberately slow down and block the road and see if he can jump over me. When are we going to learn how to drive in this country? I can drive for a whole of 6 months abroad without hooting my horn once. I don't even know how the damn thing sounds.
