The akwa ibom convention centre currently under construction @ the tropicana convention centre adjacent to the Hilton inn hotel also under construction at the centre is to be ready by the first quarter of next year the commissioner for special duties announced this recently.

How I wish individuals also build things like this in non-commercial states in Nigeria, everything must not be a government thing.

Steadily Uyo (Akwa-Ibom) is developing and positioning herself as one city to be in Nigeria.

It is not easy to be an oil producing state and to have a reasonable and thinking governor. Unlike our bros is Asaba(Delta) and Yenagoa(Bayelsa), very clueless set of governors.

Project Description:
The Ultra Modern Akwa- Ibom International Convention Center is situated in the Tropicana Resort in Uyo, Akwa – Ibom State.The new International Convention Center is in three levels, Ground floor level that includes a hall with sitting capacity of 800 persons and an Auditorium that sits 50 persons.
The two other levels, the first floor accommodating the main convention Auditorium and Mezzanine floor both have a combine sitting capacity of 5000 persons.
In addition the Convention center has 8 meeting rooms with full facilities, and an elaborate external works.
The external car parking has capacity for 700 cars
