We sincerely welcome the creation of the 7th infantry division of the Nigeria Army and their subsequent deployment to our dear state. This is not only a Welcome development, but a commendable step by the federal govt. This has bring to an end the operations of the JTF in the state, as they are due to hand over the operations to the new GOC 7th division today. The JTF has in recent time conducted them-selfs very well in spite of their brutality against the civilian population in the past. This simply means all other sister security agencies other than the Nigeria Army will be withdrawn from the operations in Borno and other parts of the northeast. This will enhance the fight against this bloodsucking monsters who does not value human lives, this is because some members of the JTF like the paramilitary organizations, as well as the Airforce and the Navy are not specialist when it comes to such operations and by this step, surely a new strategy is being adopted in fighting this devils. As await the success of this exercise, it is our hope that it will bring the final solutions to the insecurity in the region.

It is also important for the state govt to complement such effort by assisting the military to mop out the reminents of the insurgents who are attacking villagers. This can be done by ordering all the local govt councils to immediately constitute the civilian JTF in all the local govt areas. At-least if each local govt will form the civilian JTF with 200 youths and backed by at-least 30 trained soldiers, in a short period of time this cultist will be eliminated. This 200 youths if they will be given a token allowance of N10,000 per month, it will only cost 2 million naira. With other mobility and other things, 5 million naira will be OK for the operations, which is within the reach of the local govt councils. After all, what are they even doing with their monthly grand? Unfortunately, the Governor has to give the order because these local govt officials are appointed by him rather than elected, and some of them are grossly incompetent to initiate such move.

Our Niegbouring states of Adamawa, Yobe, Bauchi, and Gombe should as well form the civilian JTF, to insure that the region get rid of this unfortunate situation that we have found our selfs in.

May Allah grant this newly deployed over 8,000 troops and our civilian JTF the wisdom and the strength to defeat this devils.
