Gunmen Kill 5 Vigilantes In Enugu by londonrivals: 10:29pm On Aug 22, 2013
Five persons were shot dead by unknown gunmen, who attacked the office of Ogwuagor Community Joint Neighbourhood Association in Enugu East Local Government Area of Enugu State, Wednesday evening.

We learnt that those killed in the attack,which followed the arrest and detention of a suspected cultist by the vigilante group, included a member of the vigilante group, Sunday Eze, two women and two other men whose identities could not be ascertained at press time.

However, police confirmed the death of two persons namely Sunday Eze and Nebechi Mba,whose corpses were deposited at the National Orthopaedic Hospital mortuary in Enugu, while five others, Messrs Uwadiegwu On-yegwu, Anayo Ifeji, Ani Basil, Hyacinth Ugwu and Ozioma Ezekwem woun-ded in the attack are currently receiving treatment in an unnamed hospital.
