Ribadu my hero....wish he could pick the APC ticket ahead of buhari , then I'll surely vote for APC....he showed great courage and integrity that is virtually non existent in this country #TeamRibadu2015, however if buhari emerges APC candidate...I port to team GEJ

Find Out!:

Tinubu is among the first 5 on my list of most corrupt public officers ever. His case is especially interesting when one considers the fact that his corruption still continues despite leaving office 6 years ago. But then Fashola is nowhere near the top or even middle of my list and I know why he's not there....even though if I had a one-on-one session with Fashola, I'll probably tell him many things he wouldn't like to hear. "Guilty by Association" doesnt always apply in all situations.
I have searched far and wide, and i am yet to see the slightest shred of credible evidence linking General Muhammadu Buhari Rtd. with corruption. If you find, please share.
Babangida is in the Hall of Fame for corruption in Nigeria, even his children and grandchildren will know/come to know that their Father/Grandfather is a legend.
Though Babaginda paved the way for other politicians to loot our dear naija dry but his entire loot in 1997 was estimated at N1.8tr which remains a pichant compare to Abacha's,Ibori's and GEJ's loots.

it is one thing to buy properties in dubai and a totally different thing to run a campaign machinery in Nigeria where money and politics go hand in hand. why do you think Buhari is merging with tinibu? The general is broke from successive failure at the polls.

You can paint him as pure snow white but some of us can never be fooled.

Ribadu was a corrupt policeman before he became EFCC boss. Ribadu not only misappropriated EFCC funds through awards of shady contracts and shoddy investigation and trial funds but he also appropriated seized properties from suspects to himself and associates.

And that iz why we said, provide the proof, take it to the relavance authourities since you are dead sure of your claimed instead of hate without action,do something reasonable as a patriotic citizen.

Nothing to add to his comments from me.

Ok, except that Ribadu was ready to step down for General Buhari (rtd.) in 2011.
That says a lot about him!!!

Is it not worrisome that someone who enjoys a lot of PUBLIC space and priviledge in Nigeria talked about some Abuja football club he was involved in but could not give the name for credibility but had no qualms for mentinoning Liverpool.
So much for his passion about Nigeria and patriotism by a NIGERIAN public person.

Diasporan: Respect to @jarus.One of the few I respect here on NL.Very matured in his submission and somehow apolitical in nature.
@topic How I wish I was Jarus to re-ask him a question I asked him in late 2010 at Ritz continental hotel Abuja during his campaign.Till date I didn't get the answer.Femi Falana helped him out that day by cornering my question. My question went thus "Sir can you kindly tell us how you plan getting money to contest knowing fully well that election in Nigeria is financially demanding and this is a Presidential election we are talking considering the fact that you were a cop and former public office holder. We all know what ought to be your take home pay and some might agree with me here that even including your allowances as EFCC Chairman cannot foot even a Local Govt election so kindly tell us where you plan getting your financial war chest for the battle ahead and with that as one whom we all know is transparent and corruption free how do you intend to stay clear of corrupted funds which will be likely to be brought forth for the support of your Project Ribadu?"The whole hall went into aestheric applaud. That was when Falana now used his witty finese as a legal gigipogri to twist the whole issue.I have not forgiven him for that cause that was the only opportunity I had to ask him this questions knowing fully well that the occasion was being covered by major media houses in the country.Funny enough after the whole program Chief Femi Falana cornered me at the hotel lobby and started asking me where I am from and when I told him he simply told me we do have agitation running through our veins that I should keep it up.Next I said to him was sir but my question was not answered he was like we shall meet in other forum where I will be able to ask Ribadu the question face to face and not in the open like that.Immediately he grabbed a photographer and asked that we had a shot together and also ask for my email address that he will sure keep in touch with me.From that day I loss respect for this Chief Falana.I saw him as a crafty old man that bullied me against seeking what could have been a great answer to the puzzle that could have assisted me in the future perhaps when aspiring for an elective position and ways to source for fund when I don't have enough in my financial war chest.
You sir are a pathetic liar. I was one of the organizers of the 3 days event in 2010, I also worked for over 6 days editing about 16 hrs of video clips trying to compress to a 1 hr clip yet didn't come across your claimed question at any point. Secondly when Mr falana finished he was in a hurry and we escorted him out cos he had a flight to catch for lagos he didn't even eat, so when was this time that Femi Falana called you and interviewed you and had a photo shoot with you. I understand ur need to feel important but why lie against men of proven integrity, whose track records are there for all to see

So you think I need ads on my blog to make money? I'm currently organizing an offline conference under the aegis of my blog, and I'm taking out close to half a million Naira from my personal resources to fund the event without collecting a dime from participant.

Yes, if I make money from my blog, fine, but I have other sources of income that fetch me monthly pay that even a blogger with 1000 ads on his/her blog can never earn!

And Seun is also comfortable enough to do away with adverts (for overall strategic reason) for 2 months and don't mind the revenue loss. So why cry more than the bereaved?

Anomini, with your standing on this forum, I'm surprised you made this statement.

If a company management, for strategic reason, decided to put on hold production for few months, the auotmatic interpretation is that it is getting money from illegitimate sources.

Seun decided (and announced publicly) to put advert on hold for some time, and you of all people are falling for the petty politicization of that action. He will lose not less than 1m in the 2 months adverts have been suspended, and you think he will be so stupid to do that because of politics.

Why so many hidden posts? cheesy Though, just as expected.

Nuhu Ribadu rejected $15m cash bribe, that's very good. But he rejected it not by his own might, something compelled him to, and that thing is not integrity. He is a good man not because of rejecting $15m bribe.

There is this thing I'm noticing, most of Liverpool fans seem to be police or erstwhile police officers. And Shelseea fans, Agberos and Kleptomaniacs.

let me guess you are,you are one of the pro jonathan or probably one of the "NOTICE ME" people on NL, beyond every reasonable doubt, ribadu would have performed and will perform more than gej anyday,anytime,anywhere,..one thing is for sure no human on earth is holy, even in America, Clinton,Bush and this present obama all have their short comings,we don't need a holy man to govern this country,we only need a visionary man and a strong man like ribadu, forget about witch hunting or not,if he refused to do the job for obasanjo,he (obj) will definitely get someone else to do it and trust me that person will do it blindly, unlike ribadu yes he followed his (obj) orders but still added some sanity to it, why do we even call it witch hunting when 98% of these people are truly guilty of the offenses levied against them,Nigeria is a corrupt country, with the population of 200 million corrupted mumu citizens(both leaders and the followers), and a yoruba adage says, for you to catch a monkey you have to behave like a monkey, I'm not a politician nor an hausa/Apc whatever man, but truth be told, "the beautiful ones are yet born" but we still have some reasonable one eyed men among we the blinds, buhari is one of the blind, gej is one of the blind, atiku is one of the blind, obi, babangida aliyu, ibrahim babangida, obasanjo and so on are all among the blind men leading the country, one thing is for sure, obasanjo can't give ribadu $15M, so the fact that he rejected that amount of money offered to him as a bribe and some other visible achievement he had during the efcc days, made him one of the few one eyed men we have in this country, I will only come out to vote if ribadu is contesting again and I expect him to do so alongside reasonable people like fashola, oshiomole or mimiko (though he appears like a gej man but he's just like ribadu, mimiko also believe that for you to catch a monkey you have to act like a monkey ) nice one jahru

Of course the interview was not meant for everyone to appreciate, understand and derive lessons from. That a fellow nairalander like you was able to actually interview him is of course lost on some people. There are those youth (even ladies) who do not spend all their time on nairaland at the romance section but actually see nairaland as a means to develop themselves further intellectually, educationally, career-wise & hence wil derive lessons from interviews such as this. A few posts above this one is a poster (also a lady & very likely younger than poster Booqee) who was able to draw out a key lesson which anybody should appreciate and digest.

Poster Booqee, e be like say na NYSC you dey do abi? very soon your eye go open grin. The nairalander who was able to secure this interview with Nuhu Ribadu (as he has done with quite a few other national/international topshots) was a corper like you less than 7 years ago. Better read plenty interviews like this one, derive lessons and inspiration from them as those are part of the tools you will need to face the world awaiting you after service. Six years from now, you too can be sitting at the same table with the likes of Oby Ezekwesili, Funke Opeke etc & be engaging them in meaningful conversation. Now read again & try to make sense out of it. If you still find it boring, then please visit this link https://www.nairaland.com/romance . I'm sure you wont be bored at all there.

Gumorin.
dafuq?! U don't know me real life and i don't know u real life. I really don't care wat u think bout me. Its my achievement and purpose in the real world dat matters. I'm a political scientist and i know wat i meant when i said the interview is boring. I read every single word in the interview..There are many questions i expected to be asked but weren't there. Not dat jarus isn't doing a great job. Of course he is, i'm just blunt like dat, and i criticise things as i see them.
For the fact this is a faceless forum i'm free to 'be free' i really don't care bout ur opinion..u get. So if u like rant from today till tomorrow, guess wat?? it doesn't change the real life booqee. May be different to you, but to me nairaland is just nairaland. I have a life outside the internet.

Re: Jarus' Exclusive Interview With Nuhu Ribadu by ayobase(m): 10:32am On Aug 24, 2013
Those are what I extracted while reading through.

my extract:
Policemen face the same stigmatisations all over the world, which is understandable because nobody is expected to love someone paid to ensure the people abide by the law, a power that can be abused.

Our people actually find police force unattractive because of the lack of distinction between elite police and the rank-and-file cops on the street. I was more of a public prosecutor than a general duty policeman. I spent most of my time as policeman.

Unlike in the US where you have distinct system, separating elite police like the FBI from local policemen, Nigeria operates a unitary police where the elite and rank-and-file officers lack requisite distinctions.

A nice and constructive interview I must confess.

Back to the extracts;

1. We don't hate police because they are being paid to ensure people abide by the law. We do appreciate them for preserving lives and properties according to their technical and ammunition abilities.

We only hate police for;

-Corruption (bribing, denying of rights, beatings, unjust arrest and frustration, and so on).

-Recruiting the illiterates to govern us, it is very annoying the way they relate. They cause more harm than good.

-The supposed accidental discharges that have claimed lives of Nigerians without proper justice.

-Dirtiness.

-Conniving with the armed robbers by supplying ammunitions.

-Breaking traffic rules, while expecting us to obey.

-Not being friendly enough with us....always frowning and hungry to pounce on anybody.

-Abusive, especially the policewomen.

2. Telling us that there is differerent between elite police like FBI, CIA, CID and SSS and rank-and-file cops on the street is of no importance. Are you simply saying u don't belong to the corrupt group of the Police force.....so, u also know that Police is corrupt.

And we do find police attractive. They should just try to respect more, cos respect is reciprocal.

Na them we still dey cry to if we are in trouble!

3. I must give u kudos IFF it is true you have been living on ur basic salary and allowances.

4. I'm glad u r a football lover......Oga, but u better join the winning team. Manchester United!

Sir, we need a drastic revolution in Nigeria Police force....those graduates employed by Dangote as drivers are supposed to be in the Police force with encouraging monthly salary and insurance policy.

Its not too late to clean up the NPF by recruiting more graduates as much as possible.

Thank you Sir!
