I couldnt stop laughing @ number 4, but Hollywood is still the best, check the last 10years and see how greatly they ve improved, in film making, graphics, production, technology but in Nollywood, what they do is repetition of movies and its so annoying, nothing has barely changed in recent years.

Come on. We all knw every1 in dis thread prefers holly to nolly bt u guys hav 2 be realistic na. Holly also has faults n dats wat d o.p was tryna explain. U guys kip sayin nolly movies arent interesting. Yh i agree bt wat bout hollywood. Hw many of u enjoyed skyfall, wolverine, iron man 3, die hard 5 e.t.c. All these r overhyped movies dat turn out 2 be boring so dont say holly has no faults. And all those claiming fiction, ghosts dancing r some1 shooting himself thrice in the head isnt fiction? if U guys believe 1 vs 100 is possible because d 100 arent trained, y cant u believe a ghost can make a phone call. U guys kip criticizing nolly movies bt 4get d errors in hollywood. I admit i was lik u guys bt the o.p made me realize some tins we overlook in hollywood. Btw nollywood is rated 2nd in d world, either u lik it or nt. One more thing. Jst answer dis question. Sum1 has lived on earth for years n is used to crossing d road everyday by lukin left n right. Imagine d person dies n bcomes a ghost WITHOUT KNOWING (note dat). The person decides to cross, wont he be used to the rule of lukin left n right? So u guys screaming at the o.p should pls kip quiet, especially that dumbb gal, wat is her name sef. Btw i hate nollywood movies bt i love hollywood. U guys need 2 be realistic n stop making biased judgement

Ehn!!! Don't ever dare mention that guy's name. He is so fake that he is mire fake than fake itself. Gosh! That guy can annoy my life to the last... Nonsense! As much as I love Hollywood movies, I'd rather watch a Nollywood movie than Seagal's movie...
I agree that sometimes he's exaggerated, but in real life if u gave him 10 people to fight, none will touch him. And all will go home with broken bones. Besides...he's a 7th dan aikido master....at such a level, he is more than capable. Trust me.

i don't get those who are complaining. Even fiction deserve some reality within the context it finds itself. Harry potter is fictions no doubt, but do u think that if things were done without proper explanations, it'll be that enjoyable. If in commando...anold had moved in with say 5 other trained colleagues and had used stealth to achieve his goal....it would've been strange yet understandable because in it context, it is realistic. But to go solo and engaged head on with soldiers, SOLDIERS OOOO, not area boy thugs ooo, soldiers...and each and everyone missed him yet he gt them, is insane. I mean what have these so called soldiers been doing with their time. How can the call themselves soldiers if the can't even hit a single target from all angles.
I agree with op fully. Oh and op.. can u go bankai?

Sam and Dean are always on the road hunting ghost bounties. . .

Yet they always manage to check in hotels snd still get extra money to buy cupcakes, Donuts, Eclairs, Froyos, Gingerbreads, Honeycombs, Jellybeans, and even Keylime pie!

And yet we were never told they inherited a real estate or something.

imperiouxx: 6) A big jumbo jet ran on runway for over 12 to 18 minutes. I guess that particular airfield runs through many states. angry

Reference: Fast and furious 6, the last showdown scenes.

Re-calculating the distance covered by that jet at that speed, it's like a plane running from International Airport, Lagos to Abeokuta on a straight runway without turning..... That scene sucks!

Though, I still stick with Hollywood ONLY.

7) An episode of 24 where Jack Bauer flies from Africa to the US in an hour... common mehn, I've never watched a season of 24 completely but that episode I watched made me believe I haven't missed anything...

I have friends in the caribbean who prefer nollywood movies 2 hollywood movies. So y'all who're critisizing nollywood, go bleep yourselves. I once related a hollywood movie 2 a Nigerian friend who had not watched it before, makin him believe it was done by Nollywood. His response:"its a wack storyline." the main reason why most people hate nollywood movies is because its Nigerian. We never appreciate whats ours.

No matter how you look at Commando, Rambo or Die Hard, they have a very good storyline. Film editors knows when how to prevent a story dragging and becoming boring thats why they cut some scenes out before it goes to the cinema. With Nollywood I loose interest the moment it starts asking me to insert disc 2. I will rather watch a plane trying to spend 12 minutes to take off, than watching a guy in an car, with a headphone and microphone over his head trying to mug us as if he is about to take off in an helicopter (China made Toy helicopter)

First of all it was a bridge not a runway and i think it was a newly constructed bridge that had not been commissioned, the bad guy was trying to avoid the police, army and securty officials so decided to use that bridge.
We are talking Furious 6 not Fast 5.

Do you really know what you're saying? What's your argument all about? The plane scene is on a runway not bridge. I wasn't talking about the tank scene which is on interstate + bridge. This is the short making of the plane scene. IT IS AN AIRFIELD RUNWAY!

Am not a dude , am a chick . Well you seems not to even get the op at all . If u talk about 24 been so real , then.I guess you watch it through rdio Nigeria, because there were places where Bauer break rules and save the day , fougbht off so many bad guys single handed. Wait is like Nigerias , maybe just you , the op and few others do not understand the rudiments that made up movies and other arts . This things are fiction , please use the dictionary . Fiction ensued fantasy , unrealistic event ..talking about prison break , it is so unrealistic. What guy draws such enormous tatoo on himsf ? Like thou seriously , but we all enjoyed the movie .
my dear,
mayb y'all misunderstood d Op,he myt just be trying to be funny or something else.

try to giv d guy a break,he obviously kns its fiction.

Because Jack happens to be one of the commonest name in America.
Hollywood films are always realistic unless you're talking about Sci Fi because they take time to predict the human response to events.
You don't see people smiling when they should be crying or just crying unnecessarily like in Nigeria movies.
You're exaggeratting too much. Not all American movies are realistic...even the ''realistic'' ones? go and watch delta force 4:deep fault, and tell me it is reaslistic (it aims to be, tho and fails big tym.)
U seem to be watching the wrong nigerian movies buh yh, most are like dat. Very bad rly.

+1
or when in a movie with the cliched chosen one theme... The protagonist gains enormous strength and power to defeat an enemy who has trained and attained power, skill and experience for years and even goes on a killing spree, making masters of the art beg for mercy. I mean seriously, it's like the directors are jux telling us that destiny precedes all and that skill and experiences counts for nothing. Whoever u think u are, super master or not, the chosen one will whoop ya ass with just a month's training, bs.
Oh and also the a.s.s pull powers the good guy always seem to get from God knows where, not properly explained.
A horrible culprit is the movie, ninja assasin. Hated that movie to the core.

ohaleoghene: While you are wrong ! Let me enlighten you , and only hope you learn from this . Movies world are fantasy world , totally different from the real world . My lecturer who took me on drama , said and I quote ' in art we do not find reality ,when we do , it is no longer art ' poster , what caught our fancy in movies are the fact that this things do not , and if they do happen arre very rare , and we do only hear about them , and then we say , oh , just like in the movies . Haven't u notice how people who find it hard to believe a certain story say , I am sure you saw that in a movie , that sure can't happen ! So your analysis my dear is crap ! Think of it , won't you find movies boring of it gives us exactly real life situations ? If that is how movies work , while ,.I rather wait till such happens to someone around me , and save the ticket money for a meal .

I'm sorry but you and the young lady you quoted seem to take life too serious and probably won't recognize humour if it walked up to you and slapped you in the face. Incidentally, you guys always complain about Nollywood being unrealistic (ghosts with shadows, ghosts looking left and right before crossing roads). Yet when I point out instances where Hollywood could also have been unrealistic you go all hollywood SWAT.

Abeg, you don't haave to take everything literally and too seriously. We know the country is bad but you make it worse for yourself when you take everything too serious.

Doesn't matter dawg, even fiction has the right to be realistic in the context it finds itself. it needs to follow it's own rules otherwise everything will be a mess
